A further reduction on the price of the awesome Maverick gun from Nerf. Probably the best gun out of all the range and can be easily modded if you wish for extra fire power!

Seen in Sainsburys in Farnham town centre today, not sure if nationwide

If your little ones like running around shooting at things, they'll love the Nerf N Strike Maverick. Offering rapid fire action with amazing accuracy, the 'gun' features a rotating barrel that slides out for easy loading. Snap it into place, and they're ready for six-dart rapid fire action.

Pack includes the Maverick and six darts.

Suitable for children aged 6 years and over.

This seems to be store specific - no one else has reported finding the deal; though lots have tried...

What's it like being shot by one of these - any stinging, red marks on skin? I want something we can feel when it hits us.

No way - even 'modded' they won't be that powerful.
But, even un-modded, shot straight in the eye-ball at close range expect to have impaired vision for a few days, weeks or even months.

Modded they hurt just enough to feel through clothes, but I would recommend wearing glasses especially if you do mod them.

I bought one of these about two months ago, well worth the money!

Did the barrel mod and spring/ fire power mod and they fly twice the distance along with a sting shot from about 2 metres away!

I then decided it'd be a laugh to cut the end of the whistler dart and replace it with a thumbtack, and yes they do stick in the skin when fired! Great fun for bordem at uni!! 8)

Being a sniper I'm sure you'll never misfire; but my wife walked into a dart from my un-modded Maverick at Christmas, she couldn't see from her eye for about half an hour and for a day or so only had peripheral vision; it was a couple of weeks before she could see normally; but her night-vision still hasn't recovered fully.
I know I've said all that loads of times before on these threads; but I think it's worth repeating. If you're going to mod wear eye-protection after, especially if you're modding the darts, and look out for non-combatants ;)

P.S. She still loves a Nerf fight, and definitely has the upper-hand now as she's out for revenge and I'm too scared to hit her in the face again.

...my 3 year old loves his! (Takes all his strength and determination to reload it)

^ I'm sure my 3 year old would like to try my shotgun. Thankfully I have more sense than to allow him to play with something that could harm himself or others.

yes it is instore only and dont know if is just the Farnham store I posted as unfortunately sometimes these things seem to be store specific.

Best of luck in getting one they are a great gun, we had 3 already so havent actually bought one from this deal

scanning for £9.99 :(
#19
ipswich 9.99 scanned
#20
well definitely £5 in the Farnham town centre store, they had 4 on the shelf

Can post a photo of the shelf price tag if needs be for the doubters, but guess it was store specific then :(

Great fun. I did the barrel mod and the increased power mods to mine last year, and it's pretty good. Accurate too :):D

Rayleigh scanned at £9.99 :(
They had the 36 packs of Clip System Darts at £1.50 (£4.39 on Amazon) - these fire OK from my modified Mavericks; although the 'whistlers' are best.

These are one of the toughest toys I know for wear, it has not broken yet. They are worth the £10 and definately worth £5
#24
:( 9.99 in Newbury. Ahhhh well
#25
would offer to pick them up for people but guess postage costs would make it pointless
#26
Seen them over the weekend in Tesco's for £6.50 if that helps anybody out.
