Pretty sure this wont work with Vista, otherwise I'd have it, voted hot.

I did vote hot!
#5
sorry - its been a long morning.... misread...
#6
just noticed someone earlier had voted cold though....

Looking at some of the reviews of this product on the SVP website, it seems this also doesn't support SVCD or amazingly DVD-Video. Very strange product release from Nero
#8
maybe not so strange if thats the case
give folk who dont use it a taste
then in a months time
offer them licence upgrade to more complete version
for a reasonable sum perhaps?

Arrgh. Quit whining that people vote things cold. It's their right to do so, and even if they don't post reasons they probably still have them.

That aside, this is a quality deal. I use this and it's excellent. Much better than the older cheaper versions of Nero. Voted hot.

If it is like other Nero releases you have to pay extra for the plugin codecs required to play DVD's. However if you want to burn CD's & DVD's Nero is the best so voted hot.

I voted warm. There is a newer version out there and also I have read some bad reviews about this regarding it being slow to burn DVDs.
I bought some cheap stuff similar to this from SPV before and believe me it wasnt great, hence the reason why they are giving it away.
#12
Thanks Porkchops, welcome to HUKD :)

Good first post !

It does work with vista and great for burning DVD files so voted hot! Only thing is that you need to download the trial version from nero and then use the key code that is on the front of the cd sleave to activate.
#14
Good deal, hate the software. I deleted it off my PC after a few weeks, it's so laborious to do anything!
#15
Just for info for ripping, shrinking and burning any DVD get Ripit4me, DVD Decrypter and DVD shrink 3.2. Ripit4me has a one click wizard that will do everything for idiots like me.

I learnt all this from a previous thread. I have Nero 7 ultra but find it laborious too.
#16
I wouldnt use that company even if they payed me

Are you getting the company confused with Savastore (which I agree I would avoid as I would Saverstore) or have you had some problem with them? I've had stuff from them no problems.

Not sure exactly what the legal position is here but to quote from ebuyer

... this is the OEM version and must be purchased with an CD/DVD-RW

So I think technically you have an illegal copy of the software if you buy it standalone?

whats the difference between essentials and premium version apart from the massive price differrence. I'm after using nero vision for basic video editting. Thanks

So saverstore is nothing to do with savastore? Even though they both sell the same stuff free?
Perhaps they can loophole the law by saying it is "free" and thus not being bought as you only pay P&P?

I havent used "saverstore" but I smell haddock

Hot deal. Personally, I like Nero for burning cds.
By the way, can someone tell me - how do you know if someone has voted cold? Is there a way of telling?
Voted hot!!
#22
If you try clicking on Nero 7 in Saverstore, it takes you to Nero 7 from Savastore! Its the same company... If you have had problems with one, it may be the same again.
#23
This is not Saverstore or Savastore. It's Savapoint.

Just to let you know I got one of these a few weeks ago & it comes in a plain white sleeve with no print on it. & the disk has "BUNDLE WITH HARDWARE ONLY. NOT FOR RETAIL SALE". I can't tell you what its like cos I haven't actually got around to using it.

I also use Ripit4me and DVDdecrypter but use Nero Recode instead of DVD Shrink because the advanced options (i.e. removal of unwanted stuff) is better.

 fab find im using the trial version to burn dvds very simple to youse was going to buy this at full price on the 30/04/07 when my trial run out and if its as easy as puting the key code in thats magic:thumbsup: voted hot:-D

I'm still using version 6.0, & i'm happy with all of the features on that. So i will not be upgrading to this one.

Good price all the same tho.
#29
How does this compare to Nero Smartstart which i have on my PC???
#30
Do I need to have Nero license key already, to get this offer for 'Nero 7 Essentials Suite'?
#31
I have used savapoint b4 for software and they were very slow, after 10 days since I live near the place I just went and picked up my disks myself from the warehouse.
