Manufacturer's Description
NESCAFÉ and KRUPS have joined forces to bring café culture into your home with NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto, a stylish, multi-coffee capsule system that will change the way you make, drink and think about coffee. With 18 delicious varieties, NESCAFÉ Dolcé Gusto delivers coffee shop quality, whether you prefer a frothy cappuccino, shot of espresso, a multilayered latte macchiato or an aromatic americano.
NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto combines the precision and technical perfection expected from KRUPS with excellent coffee, to create a must-have kitchen accessory for the busy modern lifestyle. Sleek, funky and easy to use, this compact coffee machine comes in black, ivory, and red, and is guaranteed to bring a touch of flair into your home.

The NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto system from KRUPS uses the kind of high pressure normally found in professional machines. Simply lift the lever, pull out the pod holder and pop in a specially-designed capsule of 100 per cent roast and ground arabica coffee. Push the holder back, press down the lever and you'll hear a pop. Move the knob to hot or cold and hey presto! Great tasting connoisseur coffee in a matter of seconds. You can even choose exactly how strong you want your cup - no hassle, no mess – which means you can relax and enjoy your favourite drink.

All models boast improved features including:

15 bar high pressure, the ideal espresso pressure to extract all the flavour of the coffee
Better, sleeker design for a quality look in the kitchen
Improved ergonomics for ease of use
A larger variety of drinks
Water tank, with built-in transparent handle
Large drip tray
Magnetic pod holder provides a neat 'stick-in' feel

1 x Dolce Gusto machine

I haven't seen it in Sainsbury's either but if it is still open there was a Tefal pop-up shop in the outlet in Swindon which were doing returns for less than this (I got it for about £44). Been after one for ages.

Nice one, Amazon must have dropped price after I listed the one at best buy ( think I checked ). Get quidco at best buy though.

Totally cracking price. Real nice machine..pity about price of "Pods".
#7
Pods work out 35p for a latte. And theyre just as nice as Starbucks £2.10 latte too! So not too bad in my opinion... If u want to enjoy a nice coffee then 35p hardly breaks the bank! :-)

Been thinking about getting a pod machine for a while & the prices seem to be coming down now.

Only issue I have is that pods may turn out to be expensive (although I do like me coffee though!)

What would you recommend - a Dolce Gusto or a Tassimo?

Pods are over priced & the flavour of the coffee is awful!

#11

#12
Less than £50 at BestBuy after cashback
#13
Thanks just ordered from Amazon -they always seem to deliver to me in 24 hours
#14
Forget Tassimo or Dolce if you want a coffee pod machine, get a NESPRESSO. Far superior coffee to top coffee houses in UK !
#15
Dolce Gusto is better than Tassimo. We always get complimented on the coffee and have friends who have the Tassimo say that they wish they had our machine instead.
#16
any deals floating around for the dolce-gusto pods?
#17
I have one of these they are brilliant well worth the money - The Lattes & Mochas are my faves yum
#18
brought from Amazon, ordered one online yesterday from Comet for £75. Rang and cancelled the order to purchase this one, my sister's just had this for her birthday!! Yummy Coffee!! Heat Added Thnx
#19
Great price. I paid £63.00 at Argos earlier this year and thought that was good!
#20
I ordered this last week from amazon for £80 (luckily I had a vouvher from a friend). this is a great price and anyone deciding over this or the Tassimo, get this one! I returned my tassimo because the taste of the coffee was the worse ever! I tried 4 drinks (2 different, inc starbucks), give me the cheapest instant over that any day! Now I have this one so I am a happy chap, nice coffee, the machine looks nicer and the pods are about the same price for both machines.

As a owner of both let's just say that the Dolce Gusto gets used frequently whilst the Tassimo just sids on the side looking pretty put ultimately just gathering dust. As a previous poster said - it's just a shame there aren't any deals on at the moment for the price of the pods.
#23
Nespresso are much better than Tassimo and Dolce Gusto.
#24
Forget coffee makers that use pods and get a proper one which uses either ground coffee or better still beans. My son has recently bought a Tassimo , plus a large selection of there coffee pods, to replace one of these and the pod are not only expensive but the coffee is no better than instant. A cheap pack of groung coffee from any of the major supermarkets taste better and a good one far superior in flavour.

Strange how Nespresso pod machines sell so well in Italy and are used in some of the worlds top restaurants.

Reading on here that Best Buys were selling this for £54.99, I checked on web and that was correct. I went to BB's in Hedge End (Southampton) and the price was showing as £99.99! I asked saleslady to check web price and I got the black model for £54.99!
Thanks to poster for the 'heads up' on the BB price and the OP.
#27
I was tempted to get a Tassimo, but tbh my Senso does the trick and I can get cheap pods for it online!
#28
See this thread for cheap pods
#29
Are these difficult to clean?
Thanks
#30
nop - very very easy to clean with few parts to remove and run under a hot tap :)

Just bought a red one from Best Buy, 15% cashback at the moment through Quidco on Best Buy purchases, so potentially £46.75.... Amazon has the Red one at £75 at the moment

I might be wrong but it is 10% for Quidco.

Best Buy had a 15% promotion with Quidco over the weekend, back to 10% now
