Cap Colombie is a blend of 100% Arabica beans from Colombia. Coffee may well have been introduced here earlier (probably by Jesuit priests in the 18th century) but cultivation began in earnest in the early 1800s and, today, the country produces around 10% of the worlds coffee crop. Tinto (or coffee in the local language) remains the most popular drink with Colombians who like it strong, black and very sweet.

I saw this in store today at my local Sainsburys, East Kilbride town centre. I'm not sure if it is store specific or available at all stores.
Too cheap not to buy.

It tastes ok too! :-D
#4
have to try at this price :)
#5
Good coffee, usually too expensive for me to buy. I bet my Sainsbury's doesn't have any though! :-(
#6
I'll bet mine doesn't either.
#7
I thought I was doing well to find it on offer at £2.00 a jar in Asda today ! D'oh !!!!

OK?

It is probably THE best instant coffee on the market, which explains it's normal price. A milder taste than some of the other premium Nescafe blends, (eg. Alta Rica) but as good as instant ever gets.

Yes, well, I have quickly learned that you get flamed for being positive about stuff on here by certain individuals. You have to walk a narrow path, don't you?:whistling:

hot deal, might be a clearance line though as its not online at any price. Go get some more  (and send me 1 as a prezzie :-D:-D)

Yes, I had that thought as I bought some. Punters near this shop probably only go for "Basics" Finest Blend.

Don't let them intimidate you, just BLOCK them, they HATE it ;-)

Mine doesn't!
#14
Sorry, must be local.

Regarding instant coffee, nothing beats Kenco Costa Rican.

The strength rating of 2/5 would put me off buying this, even tho' it isn't a bad price granted.
#16
nice coffee - Columbian is a good strength for the ordinary peeps

but at over £3 for 100g way overpriced - this but is a great deal:thumbsup:

If you can drink Kenco instant, you almost certainly WON'T like this.

A very nice coffee.

Bought some of this stuff last night for £2 in ASDA (which was on special) as well as some other posh ones. For this price you can't get vexxed. A trip to Sainsbury's on the way home is on the cards.

Good find. Heat added

Great price so heat added. However, I tried this coffee recently and hate it - very bitter aftertaste. My favourite instant coffee is Nescafe Black Gold followed closely by Nescafe Alta Rica so if your taste is similar to mine then I would suggest you let this bargain pass :p !

Still full price in Peterborough this morning.

Cap Colombie is a lovely mild coffee, over the years I've always bought both the Nescafe Alta Rica & Cap Colombie coffees but over time I've just resorted to buying Cap Colombie so if I can find this for 84p I'll be chuffed to tits! :)
#22
Still full price in Halifax £3 + waste of a trip :x
#23
can one other person confirm they got this at another store if not expire it ;-)
#24
I saw new style jars of this in Asda today. That will explain why my local Sainsbury were getting rid of the old jars?
