I have one of these (got it as a moving in present from friends). They paid £79 for it.

It does indeed make lovely latte's, and whilst nobody likes anything to do with the harming of small children, who doesn't like a tasty latte!

Hot hot deal!

what a load of rubbish

"Nestlé is the target of a boycott because it contributes to the unnecessary death and suffering of infants around the world by aggressively marketing baby foods in breach of international marketing standards. Even Nestlé's Public Affairs Manager acknowledges the boycott has widespread support.

According to the World Health Organisation, 1.5 million infants die around the world every year because they are not breastfed. The World Health Assembly has adopted marketing requirements for baby foods to protect breastfeeding and to ensure breastmilk substitutes are used safely if necessary.

Nestlé is singled out for boycott action as monitoring shows it to be responsible for more violations of the requirements than any other company. The boycott helps to stop some of the specific cases of malpractice we expose and has forced some changes in policy. But Nestlé continues systematic violations in those countries which have not yet brought in independently monitored and enforced legislation implementing the marketing requirements, which is another part of our strategy for protecting infant health and mothers' rights."

..according to Baby Milk Action.

hmm looks a good deal - but seriously, what is all this Nestle rubbish??????? I havent a clue what all this is about?? Is it the breastfeeding brigade ramming their "dont feed your babies from anything but your own b00bs til they are 8years old - if you DO, you're a terrible mum and deserve to be sterilised" rubbish down everyones throats again?????? Surely hope not!:roll: Grrr - i was told i wasn't "allowed" to attend my local mother toddler group because i didnt breastfeed.....in actual fact i DID breastfeed from birth to 6 weeks but then i had a pulmonary embolism (was actually STILL breastfeeding in hospital whilst waiting for scan to determine how close the clot was to my lungs!) and couldnt BF from that time on as i was on medication which would have been dangerous to baby. But i was still shunned and told "we only accept mothers who care about their babies wellbeing".......as i said...grrrr!

Lol sorry - rant over!!!! And i am sure that its a much bigger issue really than just the "BF Brigade"....?!

The basic problem with nestle is this:
Aggressive marketing at third-world mothers, to change from breastfeeding (great for baby), to formula milk (not as great, though still good).
Mothers find difficulties affording formula milk, or may end up with fakes. Babies end up malnourished, and die. Other family members may go hungry to afford the formula milk.

...
Anyway

Good price/deal.
But I won't buy unless you can make your own refills.

I have a senseo an arent particularly happy with it. Is this a lot better than the senseo? can someone share their thoughts if they've used both.

Anyway, back to the machine, I have both this and a tassimo... (Got the tassimo for £50 on a deal on here from Argos, and got the Dolce Gusto on the EVE magazine deal)!!!!
I prefer the tassimo due to the, 'milk' cartridges
I use fresh milk also! At this price, I say it's a bargain!

I had the Senseo for years and it's now in the garage. I got the Dolce Gusto sent to me for free from Bzz, a marketing company to trial and I must say I'm so glad I received one :)

The Gusto is head and shoulders better than the Senseo, there's no comparison. The only problem being is the 8 drinks you get out of a box gets used up too quickly as the coffee is that good and I'm always having to go to the supermarket to stock back up!

Bin your Senseo and make a space on your worktop for the Dolce Gusto :)

Sorry but the 'coffee' out of this machine is absolutely vile. The machine is plastic, looks like **** and unsurprisingly, the coffee tastes like ****.

Voted cold because it is a poor quality product.
