Send it to Terry Leahy, CEO of Tesco for a laugh. See what he thinks about it, :)

Oh I hate that!
I bought a jar on 25/9/2010 at the previously charged price.

Be ace if it scanned at £602, then they'd have to give you double the difference!
#12
Every little helps.
#13
Don't you realise this coffee is 24ct gold plated? With a diamond encrusted lid? £602 is cheap! Pfft the £4 one is just plain coffee! Wanna be's!
#14
One of the things I love about this site - what a random label - and to think someone put it out without noticing! Great spot made me smile!
#15
must be the vintage blend
#16
shows what gormless idiots work at tesco ! I dont think the person putting this label up thought ''this should be a laugh il do it neway'' just as thickas pig **** !
#17
Nice, gold in a jar! :p
#18
Cold. Obviously store specific and not nationwide, can never find these damn deals at my local.

What if it isn't a hack, it was a deliberate pricing scam so that they fiddle their statistics?
Did anyone see this product in that branch of Tesco between 15/9/10 and 26/9/10, maybe it was £602.00 (and out of stock)?

As a general rule I try to allege incompetence before evil, but in Tesco's case I'll make an exception.
#22
i know world wide coffee prices have gone up so how come tesco can manage to reduce their prices. Must be a hellova good future purchasing department.

Who said anything about a hack? Could just be a simple computer or (most likely) human error. They sell tens of thousands of products, you're always gonna see something like this eventually.
#24
I think this deal is for the whole plantation, seems cheap but theres always a catch, you wait until the bean pickers go on strike for more cash - Tesco win again
#25
I take it, the jar was full of REAL gold?X)
#26
(_;)
#27
nice one. Last year I missed the Argos Gold chain offer so I purchased 10 of these and ebayed it.
#28
Is this deal available online? Gonna order hundreds and sell them on eBay for £300 each
#29
If Carlsberg made Coffee, this would be the best Coffee in the world... Shame this is made by Nescafe. Has anybody tried it? Does it taste fabulous?

I don't like it very much, but it's ok, I prefer kenco smooth or nescafe cappuccino ;)

well done, i wish i'd thought of that ;(

Class! Only wished I could give it some heat. I would have loved to have seen this myself, and fetched a Manager to challenge it, then watch them squirm! Nothing like having your staff paying attention to what they are putting up in the shop eh.... X)
