Now I have to work out the Nespresso capsules bit and hopefully there'll a moneysaving option there!

Ooh that's interesting, thank you! John Lewis would probably pricematch Currys.

Lidl do 3 different variety's that work out at 18p each but they don't quite taste as good as the genuine one, close but not quite.

Probably will. Comes with 3 year warranty as standard regardless of where bought.

The Lidl ristretto and lungo have a very strong not so pleasant flavour (bit like stale filter coffee) and the espresso is much better but sadly for whatever reason seems to come out a little too watery ... I'm comparing to the genuine nespresso ... its personal taste after all and some may like the ristretto/lungo but I think certainly the box of espresso I tried definitely needed more work to deal with the watery output

Co-op, Sainsbury's and Waitrose now sell their own varieties of nespresso compatible capsules, the other big supermarkets are likely to follow suit which helps drive down the prices. There is always one brand on offer other than those, the choices are getting better including cafedirect, cafe pod, percol, starbucks & taylors to name a few.
You simply can't beat the genuine nespresso capsules but thumbs up from me for the offerings by co-op and starbucks.

No probs, if you really want to enjoy your machine on a tight budget then you can go down the DIY capsule route where you wash out and refill the used capsules with your own coffee by sealing with new foil sticky lids, bit of a faff but economical (I've never tried though). These type of things here...

Nespresso machines - a staple feature of Airbnb homes!

I have a moral objection to Nespresso based on the amount of waste they generate from the foil capsules (they can't be recycled via regular recycling - Nestle do take them back for recycling but virtually nobody returns them). Though I did see someone selling art created from the capsules once.

Everyone I know, myself included, drop them off to collect plus locations for free in the bags with labels, sent to you for free by nespresso. No guilt here.

The onus on recycling them is on the consumer here. I'm happier to pay a bit more for better coffee and knowing the capsules I use are recycled rather than the one use plastic ones which also don't quite fit the machine as well.

Is this machine any better than three pixie? There are some excellent deals on here with it and some free stuff as well

Has anyone tried the Dualit tea capsules? If so, how were they?

I think all the Nespresso machines brew the same cup of coffee using the same pressure pump at the same temerpature, the difference in machines is just added features (multi size cup brew etc.) or build material.
