Whilst the Thermostat can be had cheaper, this might benefit someone looking for the stand also, which I can't find cheaper than the RRP of £29.99 (eBay aside).

Just had Hive installed for £183 (a deal a few weeks ago)

Does this included installation?

That Hive deal from Very, also went cold, as I suspected this one would go...:D

This doesn't include installation, thermostat and stand only.

I fitted one of these last month, easy to fit, fantastic quality, and works very well !! Very highly recommended, but can be found new a lot cheaper on ebay

If you already have an existing thermostat, do you need to install the Heat Link?
#14

different energy providers are different for some customers than others in different areas of the country. Npower might be cheaper for some but not others. For me npower and edf are the same but edf is far better no lock in fees and you can change tarrif whenever i want. but no cheap nest lol

if i have it on the stand in my living room, how does to talk to the boiler?

this thermostat is wireless, the only benefit to having it fitted on the wall like a traditional thermostat is that it would have mains power running to it, on the stand you plug it in, I believe it is micro USB?

Hi, yes I get that. What i'm saying is AS it's wireless how does it 'wirelessly' talk to the boiler? Is there a module or something that connects on the boiler side or to old stat wiring?

There is a 'heat link' controller that wires in to your boiler, very easy to connect on your own following their instructions
