The whole front unit is one big button, so the top half is + and bottom half is -

From what I remember you need a phone to set it up, i may be wrong, after that you can use the web interface.

As Robot1000 said, the front is one big button, push the top to make the temperature go up, push the bottom to make it go down.

Use your Netatmo Thermostat to change your home's temperature, from your bed or from the other side of the world.

The other side of the world? Now, really, why would you want to do that?

These are great. Have it all set up with apple HomeKit so can control via voice. Also use ifttt and life 360 to enable geo location so it turns heating off when last family member leaves and first comes home , etc. Can also link it to weather app to switch heating off it forcast is good, as well as link to calendar to switch off when on holiday.
You set the desired temp at a certain time, and the thermostat works out when to start heating in order to reach that temp bang on that time, and it works perfectly. Although you can disable this is desired and go back to a traditional set up of just on or off at a certain time.
It also works out how long house takes to heat so it can turn of heating when it knows radiators can carry on on their own.
I'm just waiting for the smart radiator valves to be released so I can have each room controlled, our nursery can be a few degrees behind the other rooms.
Well worth the purchase and much better than nest as you have full control.

So that while you are in Australia and your kids are having a weekend binge party you can at least save energy, turn the heat down and force the ***** to go home

I'm thinking of getting this device, can you clarify about your mention of ifttt and life360? Is this a preferred method of setting up a gps net around your home, or the only method? I can't see in the product description that it can do it itself, so is this a workaround? I am really interested in a thermostat having the preheat feature for when you're coming home, so with this set up are you able to tell it to turn on the heating when, say, somebody enters a 2 mile radius of the house (ie coming home)? Thanks

Whilst on holiday last Christmas my house was up for sale and it meant I could crank up the heating when we had a couple of viewings. Other times I can turn the heating down if things change and I end up staying away for the night which with my work can often be the case. Can save me a couple of quid each time during the winter.

Just to update this - since this posting I have had a thermostat fail and have been completely and utterly ignored by Netatmo. Looking around it seems this is a very common issue with Netatmo as well.

Having been a big advocate of their products I am now quite the opposite and now urge people to consider alternatives where maybe, just maybe, they will get some support - or even a single response from the manufacturer.
