I had this deal the other deal . Basically even if your an existing customer with collections package you will still get the 6 months free but they do sign you up to a new 12 month contract but at no additional cost.

At the end of the 6 months all you have to do is ring up virgin and cancel netflix and you wont be charged a penny.

Once you’ve signed up, not only can you watch Netflix on your TV with TiVo, you can register up to 5 more devices to your Netflix account. Meaning you can watch on your PC, tablet, game console, smart TV, mobile or any other gadget

Already with Virgin Media?

All you’ll have to do is sign up for a further 12 months to your Collection.

I've been using it for a week now and it has a vast content for adults and kids alike.

Hope this deal is handy for some

Been with Netflix for 12 months guess what? Still not bored of it, if used with a vpn or smart dns it makes Sky look outdated and Lovefilm look like a laughing stock.
Try it with using unblock-us before slating it you might be surprised.
As for your username what's the matter? Couldn't be original?

Will give it a try once my two months Lovefilm ends. See if it is better.

To be fair netflix is much better than lovefilm

If you choose to have netflix virgin will take any loyalty discounts off of your account. I was worse off as my loyalty added up to £24 off a month. I had a nightmare sorting it out, the advisor is supposed to tell you when you phone up. Just a heads up and check before you get it.

Good deal but would disagree that Netflix is better. It is deceptive when you look at the title screen as you think they have so many films but a lot of the same films are repeated across categories to appear like there are more. Beyond the odd exclusive and new film, there is a lot of tat on Netflix. Lovefilm has a much richer back catalogue but is not always quick with the new releases. Depends what you are after but that is just my opinion and this is still a good deal.....it's free so people can see for themselves!

DO NOT buy Netflix codes off eBay. They are purchased with stolen credit cards and usually get banned after a month or so. The seller will probably be gone by then and eBay won't do anything as the code was received.

I phoned up and was declined because i am on a rententions deal. They also said it was only for premier and VIP collections customers. A bit misleading if you ask me as it does not mention any ofthis ontheir T&Cs on their website.

Netflix is all about the TV shows for me, the movies just attracted me to the service. If you want access to lots of more recent movies, Now TV is certainly the best, but available on less devices.

You should get it as it says this on their website:

For a limited time, you can enjoy everything Netflix has to offer for 6 months at no extra cost when you take one of our fantastic Collections. Here’s how you get it:

    Choose your Collection
We’ll email you a voucher code within 5 days once you’ve had your services installed
    Enter your code at netflix.co.uk/virginoffer
New Netflix customers need to register your details. Existing Netflix customers just need to sign in and click ‘Redeem gift’
    BOOM – you’re in!

    Already with Virgin Media?

Then take advantage of this great offer too – to opt in just give our team a call on 150 from your Virgin home phone or mobile, or call 0845 454 1111ˇ from any other phone and select option 4. All you’ll have to do is sign up for a further 12 months to your Collection.

don't really think this is a good deal as your tied into a 12 month contract with virgin. Yeah you get 6 months free but if your new to netflix you get 1 month free and then £5.99 for other 5 months. Just doesn't seem worth it to be tied into another 12 month contract i'd rather chance trying to get something better off them that's my opinion though and every one different.

Netflix has the option of subtitles which is very important to people who are hard of hearing/deaf, Lovefilm due to some reason are still struggling with this feature which should be standard in this day and age. I had lovefilm until last month and recently joined Netflix and I must say that its a much better experience.

Netflix are losing 500 titles from the 5th of January as well - their contract with Comedy Central is expiring so for one thing, they'll be losing South Park as well as. LOT of stand-up content if that's your bag

I think you are right about this but I would say there is a difference … I think you are right about this but I would say there is a difference between buying a 'Netflix account' on ebay - for which your warning and advice is very sensible - and buying a 'Netflix code' which applies a credit to your own account. I bought a discount code (not from ebay) and applied it to my account and am coming to the end of a year with Netflix with no problems. Once you've applied the code (assuming it works of course - but you'll know that immediately) you don't need to have any further dealings with the seller at all.

That's the problem. People think they're in the clear once the code gets accepted and rush to leave feedback. Netflix eventually figure out something isn't right and ban all accounts that redeemed codes which were purchased with the stolen card. There are legit codes out there, mostly from people selling just the one. But the majority sold in bulk are definitely iffy.

Netflix is great (particularly for free) and in my opinion better than Lovefilm. The streaming works really well too.

However, the disc based Lovefilm has much more films - Netflix is more for TV boxsets. Different services really although I get the sense Netflix will keep improving and adding whereas Lovefilm is declining.
  25. tomtomato's avatar
For people getting Netflix codes from eBay, get a refund while you can, as those codes are typically bought with stolen credit cards, and once the payments are cancelled/reversed, the codes will also be cancelled and accounts blocked.

Just ask some guy now selling codes on eBay, and he said those were bought from a liquidated shop. Unfortunately for him, Netflix does not sell physical gift cards in the UK...

Crap movies on Netflix, u can watch all the good ones using free trial

What you are actually saying is that you will only watch spoonfed hollywood blockbusters and are not willing to give lesser known and independent movies a chance. Shame as there are some really good ones on there. I have had Netflix for 6 months and am still going through the movies (especially if you can access the US version as well!).

Signed up for this a few weeks before Christmas, and with all the stuff I usually watch stopping for a few weeks (in some cases months), Netflix is keeping me entertained, letting me catch up on seasons 3 - 5 of Breaking Bad, and Season 1 of Archer, and Ive even managed to find a few films to watch. Probably wont keep it after the 6 months is up, but its a nice bonus at the moment.

I've been a virgin member for years now but don't have a tivo box. Do I … I've been a virgin member for years now but don't have a tivo box. Do I qualify for this? Also, when does it expire?

The condition is if you subscribe to one of their "Collections" packages, or upgrade to one of those packages, then you qualify. You are not a Collections customer by the sounds of it as all of those packages comes with a tivo box. You would have to upgrade to get this offer, which seems a lot of effort (and presumably a fair bit more money) to get 6 months free Netflix!

edit to add: Offer available until at least 29th January 2014, subject to limited availability while stocks last. [Virgin] reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time.

Yes you are missing loads more films and TV shows by not watching the US version of Netflix.

what benefits does the us version of nnetflix give you

It's a different selection of films and tv from the UK version - US netflix has access to some films which aren't on UK netflix (and vice versa). By using both the UK and US versions you get a wider selection of content to pick from.
  32. ryant71's avatar
Heat added, been a Netflix user for years and still plenty to watch, especially if you like watching TV shows on there, plenty of good ones like 24, heroes, prison break etc to keep you busy.

Shame I already have a Netflix account or this would have been perfect
  33. ToOn7's avatar
I have it set up on all of my devices. PC, Laptop, Wii, Xbox 360 and my tablets. I've not set it up on my Xbox One yet though.

With Unblock US I log into that and change which countries netflix I want to use. Then whichever device I go onto, that now brings up an entire different library of movies and TV content. I would much rather pay the few quid per month than have to mess on with free versions that would not allow me to switch so easily.

I've noticed with using unblock us it allows me to use Hula to watch US shows straight after they've been aired.
  34. ToOn7's avatar
Good website to use is moreflicks.com/

type in the name of a film or tv show, and if its on Netflix, there will be a Netflix logo underneath.. click on it and it'll tell you which country has it. Change to that country and voila.

Paying full price for Lovefilm is a sacrifice I am willing to make.

Perhaps worth persisting with them? I was told something similar (they said I needed an "XL" package but I had something smaller) but just asked them to check anyway. The lady on the phone did whatever they do check for eligibility and to her surprise I was allowed the offer! Worth another call perhaps?
