Does the WiFi unit have to connect to the router? I don't want it to but rather on the other end to get full house wifi coverage.

I believe the powerline adaptor connects at router end, then the "wifi" powerline end connects whereever your wireless signal is poor/required. Giving you wifi coverage in places you couldnt before.

I am waiting for this offer again as I have already missed it. But first I want to know if I buy this set to use it in the EU (with a 2 pin travel adapter) will it have any impact on speed?

I am not considering buying the EU version which has the EU plug as it's not on offer and retailing around £90

Happy with mine, setup was easy enough, wifi coverage is good. Using it in my detached garage so wifi covers the whole garage and garden now
