I've been looking to buy this router recently, but its not cheap, and is £155 on the Amazon (UK) website at the moment. The Amazon Italy website currently has it for only EUR 148.49 though. When you add it to your basket, and go to check out, the total including shipping comes to EUR 152.03 or £125.13 (using Amazon's currently converter) - which is a bargain.

The router itself gets great reviews from all the usual IT publications (PC Pro...etc), and is amongst the top 3 fastest routers currently available using Wireless AC technology.

I'm not going to post all the specs, but you can get them here on the UK website:

This was 129.99 on UKLightning deals so UK plug included and easy returns.

I know I'd rather pay £4.86 for that convenience and faster delivery

That was a lightning deal, was more expensive, and has expired (unless you have the ability to go back in time)...so not exactly the normal price you'd expect to see on Amazon.co.uk anyway.

The new Netgear and Asus routers are released for sale around now - expect prices to fall and pick up a bargain with old kit

The Netgear R8000 is for sale on Amazon.com for the equivalent £175 in GBP

So probably around £200 on release here

In spite of the AC3200 routers on their way, I can't really see the price of the R7000 dropping more than a few quid for at least 6 - 9mths, given the AC3200 routers are likely to be a smidge over the £200 mark. Also, as with most "new" routers, there are likely to bugs that will need a few firmware updates before the AC3200 routers are working reliably.

...of course, I'd still love to get one!
