I bought one of these and they are good but .. rather pay the £60 extra and get 2 terabyte drives

Love to know where you find a 2tb for £190. Cheapest at present is ebuyer @ £265. Given you can get 2 2tb drives for £150 if you have a use for the 500gb disk this is possibly a better deal.

Bout one from expansys a few weeks ago for £242 - not a bad piece of kit although the usb backup is woefully slow.

Not sure why you would need to.
This is a device that is a part of your network when you connect it to your switch/hub.

I'd guess because he thinks the data transfer would be quicker.

I think the USB ports are only for data storage devices but I could be wrong.
