A lot of help can be found on the Netgear forum here: http://www.readynas.com

Lots of people there will be able to answer both your questions (in honesty I can't!).

In particular their FAQ is rather handy: http://www.readynas.com/forum/faq.php

Looks like you can get this (delivered) for £152ish at Lambdatek

It isn't clear if they are in stock there. Lots of low stock warnings etc.. Are they a good vendor? I have heard of them but never used them.

I've just spoken with Netgear to see if I could purchase a matching HDD to the one they supply with the offer. Unfortunately not, but the VERY helpful lady gave me the name/spec of the HDD:

Seagate Barracuda ST3500418AS 7200.12 / 500GB 7200RPM / 3.5" Internal SATA Hard Drive

Which can be found here

:D

Happy days !!

Phil
