Another .97 clearance... Just picked up a 1TB Netgear Stora from a combined PC World / Curry's branch in London for £119.97, looks like a good price.

There were also the Linksys 500GB Media Hub (MH300 series) for £89.97; the 1TB MH400 version was a shocking £199.97, which is a bit expensive.

If you're not interested, please don't vote cold just because you prefer something else. This'll probably be expired soon anyway since it's a clearance deal. Thanks!

These are CR R A P

I bought one from novatech a few backs for £59.99 with a free 500gb and it went straight on ebay.... What a heap of junk.... If your after a decent NAS buy the Qnap TS210....

Alright, calm down.. good point though, didn't realise they were so cheap with no drives.

The TS-210 is about £160 as well... not that expensive, but still a good chunk of cash. It does look good though.

i nearly bought one too but the sales guy i know said get that instead - in another words, dont bother...its a flawed products...bespoke file system, you have to logon to a remote server to admin your stora..wtf!! its slow......i guess for £60 and free drive its not too bad, but id rather spend the money on soemthing that works!!

heard the synology's are good too...i have an hp mediasmart server which is similar but does alot more than this junk and most nas'

They synology are ok, I had one of those too (also the LG and Buffalo), The qnap has twonky media server built in which is amazing. With the synology it kept freezing streaming media and took ages to appear but the qnap is instant and also has much better software..

Alright, calm down.. good point though, didn't realise they were so cheap with no drives.

I do get carried away :p my advice is take it back and get a refund. they really are terrible
