Shame Amazon don't do Quidco

If only they didn't remove AV out on these new models. Anyway, doesn't seem like a massively cheap price to me. Is this around how much they are?

any good deals on a standard mp3 player i can clip on myself for the gym?

These were £175.91 on amazon about 2 weeks or so ago.

Same price at dixons and laskeys too.

Apple price is £193 so not a bad price.

Good luck filling this in with 160GB worth of MP3s. I only managed to use 25 GB of my 80GB ipod and the vast majority of it is rubbish that I never listen to.

The rest can be used to store data like I used to do with my 30 GB before it got filled. Not the cheapest but it's the most convenient.

A friend of mine used the Very Littlewoods coupon codes from here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/570193/many-discount-codes-for-very-little on Marshall Ward and got the Ipod classic 160gb for around £155 after 20% off plus possible quidco of 8%

Was £169 on Pixmania recently.

Will be waiting for this to be reduced more before I buy. I expect this to be selling for around £160 at this time of year during the 'January Sales'.

don't forget you can put tv, video and movies on these too (that takes up quite a bit of space). the screen is pretty good IMHO, great for the plain/train.

Or you could rip your files to a much higher quality, such as Apple lossless, buy a decent pair of headphones and enjoy the music a whole heap more ;-)

Does this tickle your fancy? http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/Audio/MP3+&+MP4+Players/MP3+&+MP4+Players/Sansa/Clip++8GB/802588

LOL at people saying you can't fill this. One artist's discography, at 320kbps, can easily take up 1.5-3GB. The people saying you can't fill, probably are the ones listening to top 10 dross at 128kbps.

I ordered an ipod nano 16gb for £105 at additions direct (with £25 discount code) and they sent me an ipod classic 120gb.

Wow, lucky you, I might say! An Ipod classic 120GB is exactly identical to the newest 160GB version, except the fact that it has smaller capacity. A really really good deal!:)

why not buy one with less gb's? seems like a waste of your cash.

:w00t:

Wouldn't bet on it - had to cancel an ipod order from Dixons after 10 working days when it still hadn't arrived on time for a birthday present. Amazon always quick delivery and I order from them regularly...

I have this 160GB model and have all my large music collection on it.. Love knowing that I will never need take albums off when I add more which i used to do with older smaller capacity MP3 players!

Stick shuffle on and enjoy finding the old gems in your collection :)

Genius is a great feature too.

hmm if you are concerned about music quality, would you not be better off buying something else than an IPOD, which ranks poorly compared to players from Creative or Sony in that respect? With the same headphones, my 16GB Sony NWZ-S639F super small Walkman sounds way better than my 80gb Ipod

I actually own the Sony X1060 (32GB) with the 98% noise cancelling headphones (which are pretty damn good by themselves and I own a lot of headphones) and use 320kbps AAC. It has a touchscreen OLED, looks ace and all-importantly the quality is like nothing else. Bought very early December for £193 from Amazon with a free Sony video recording cradle (VRC-NW10) plus claimed £50 cashback from Sony, which arrived yesterday coincidentally, so it cost me £143 altogether. The player, noise cancelling headphones and video recording cradle.

To be entirely honest the actual player doesn't matter THAT much for music quality, by far the biggest influences are firstly the headphones (as long as the bit rate isn't ridiculously low) and secondly the music file bit rate.
