Dont really see this as a great deal, just a fair price from a great retailer
#2
Best price around. Thanks

Its probably not what everyone would consider a 'great' deal, but its still a deal! There is no good reason to make this cold. This is £178 on Play, £189 on Apple etc etc

The price has been dropping by £3(ish) every day for the last week or so. It now drops every 2 days. I wouldn't buy it just yet, I have a feeling it will keep going down....

If you are Quidco member (worth joining if not) you get 15% cashback from Quidco - thus making the price £152 effective!
I bought the 32Gb one and got 35.11 cashback confirmed a few minutes later so a great deal!

It is now, but was 15% over the weekend. Would have bought the 32Gb Touch myself last night, but just missed the 15% rate.

Is the previous generation still being sold?

Heat from me. Got my old 1st gen iPod touch from amazon for £169.99 back in 2008. I'm happy with my iPhone 4 but this is a good deal for anyone who's not sure about getting a touch

Just no pleasing some!
You are obviously in the minority considering the heat

Was it last year or this years when I remember the 8gb having slightly lower specs than the 16gb or 32gb version? Or am I going off my rocker?!
#16

Just like any new technology product, esp. gadgets. By the time it reaches £100 though, the new one will have come out, and then that will start dropping in price, etc. etc. Is that a reason to never buy any gadget?
What makes a deal hot or cold is not in comparison to its future price but to its current price elsewhere. And this is quite hot.

Everytime Ilook on quidco it says that you can't have cash back with amazon!Or is it me not looking in the right place.
#20
fair price but i think HMV is doing free £25 itunes voucher + £20 HMV voucher with any ipod (except ipod shuffle), which i think is a better deal

Put all my transactions through Topcash now. (Don't take £5 off you every year............do quidco still do this?) and giving .1% over the quidco offer.;)

Apple are not known for their discounts but it may be worth waiting to see what they do for their One Day Event this Friday, 26th.
