The storage tiers are doubled too. Problem for me is I have the Air 2 and I had a Pro 12.9 but the Air 2 did everything I wanted and had the better display that the 'new iPad' lacks. Probably will get a Pro 10.5 as the extra screen real estate is very nice but not as cumbersome as the 12.9.I know the reviews say the new one is better but I wonder if they would saythat if it was their own money being spent on it!

Well I’m still using an iPad 4 as well! Not so much now I got a 7+. I couldn’t go below the 12.9 iPad Pro as the sole reason I bought it was to use spilt screen apps for note taking and annotating PDFs. Even the 10.5 isn’t fit for that purpose. I also don’t think I’d benefit from the new features and I’ve got the 128GB model. That’s more then enough for a lot of media and thousands of PDFs and notes!
Loving my original 12.9 iPad pro, great deal!

Great price, even better than the price on the Apple refurb store! (£569)

that's the 12.9 inch one. this is the 9.7

I’ve got a gen 1. This isn’t a big enough saving. The new one has been universally acclaimed to be better. The 120 refresh being the key issue! Really would say the processor and screen are worth the extra. £150 then maybe.

I've just gone from a first gen 12.9 ipad pro to the new 12.9 ipad pro and the display is quite a big upgrade over the old model with the 120hz ,most dont know but it is actually a HDR display.I was lucky enough to be able to test both out side by side and ran a number of performance tests, and the new model is a big jump in power.
Defo worth paying the extra to get the new model if funds allow it.
Oh god, don't tell me that, i've got the old one. I'll want to upgrade now, Big argument with the missus coming right up!

Good news is that apart from the camera lens they look exactly same,so you could upgrade on the quite, she will never know, but you will :D

For the people that have bought one already, are you happy with them? Easy enough to put together?
I've assembled 4. Very easy to put together. I use them as DVD shelves, not sure if they are fit for anything heavier. it takes about half hour to assemble one (after you learned from your first one, haha)

This. Exactly this - seconded. Pretty much took the words right out of my mouth.

Do not buy Argos furniture, you will regret it

I've got some I've owned for over a year and it's held up completely fine

I don't find the quality great and if you have to move the furniture it's hit and miss if it'll hold together, but it serves a purpose.

Yeah I guess this is the post that sums it up perfectly

Best sofas I had were the ones I bought for my first house in 2002 from Argos, the foam cushions were indestructible and the fabric could easily be cleanef with a damp cloth to look like new. Were cheap (I was pretty broke after buying the house) but I got incredibly lucky as they lasted till 2012 when springs went in the base of one of them, seat cushions were still like new though.
Since then have been through a number of different sofas from the likes of furniture village, DFS and Oak furniture land at well over 3-4 times the price and they all use much less firm or durable materials. Shame everything is made to such crap standards these days.
Anyone have any idea why this deal is hot?
I totally agree with the comment about Argos sofas looking like a condom stuffed with walnuts. Last time I bought a sofa from Argos I dumped it at the tip after a few months, it went so out of shape. Never again

worst piece of furniture we ever had.

why?

Everyone already explained. after one year of use couldn't sell for £50 . piece of rubbish.
Agree with all the above. We purchased one from Tesco. The plastic clips to join the 2 sofas separated then the cushions started to collapse into the base. Moved to the kids playroom in the end

This is the case with many Casio watches. Generally not a problem unless you are constantly replacing straps?

Hot for the money, though I think cheapo electric strimmers/trimmers are next to useless. If you only tackle the odd fringe of grass after you have mowed and the odd dandelion then it might be ok. Just don't expect the line feed to work well, and don't put thick petrol strimmer grade line on it or it will break. IMO your better off getting the Chinese 1000w mower on it's own (for £36 at Tesco apparently).

Or if you don't mind abit of exercise then get a manual Push Cylinder mower. Such as the Qualcast Rhino for £39.99 http://www.argos.co.uk/product/1587450

No cables required, no motor/fuse to blow, cylinder cut is superior to rotary if correctly setup and performed. Maybe less physically demanding depending on your grassed area. It does require learning a good technique, but will last you years and years if you look after it. Blade is easy to adjust using an allen key, just nip both of them up until it can cut a piece of paper neatly at all sections of the blade without grinding or being too hard to turn.

I bought this last time the deal was on and returned it after one use. Absolute rubbish. The line isn't even auto fed in the trimmer. It's like a toy
So you found a better deal and posted it? Nah..just a leacher.

No unfortunately I did not. I paid full price for something fit for purpose instead. Much dearer but I wouldn't take this Challenge set if it were free.

Just voted and made it hot :D
This is a Sovereign 31cm Corded Rotary Lawnmower - 1000W as far as i an see- they are really nice cheapies which cut effortlessly. The Sovereign retails are around 40 quid so the trimmer is effevtively £10 i.e. a bargain!

Anyone played this? Is it any good?
Not yet, Cex giving £18 voucher for PS4 copy so worth a punt I believe.
I never quite understand a CEX voucher comment like this... So I can then use my voucher towards a £50 copy of GTA V.
It's makes sense in case you don't like the game you can get exact (or rather more) amount of voucher back. Anything you can get new which Cex offers about same amount back is good buy as you can judge by heat level here....:D
Perhaps, but I believe that the point that SavageDonkey is making is that taking the voucher option locks you into using it for purchases from CeX, which typically are significantly overpriced.

You would have to be literally nuts to buy this phone at this price. It's two generations old for starters and that is before we go into the reliability issues. I bought my G4 from ebuyer 15 months ago for £269 so it's well overpriced at £249. Mine has been back to LG three times all for camera related issues. It's a great phone when it works but this model is hopelessly unreliable. For the price point of £270 I would look out for the next big Motorola offer (not that they are hyper reliable either).
had mine since release never had the boot loop issue, however did manage to wipe out half the screen whilst using it in a waterproof case whilst canoeing for a week. got it replaced been fine ever since. I struggle to find a phone with comparable camera, storage expansion slot and replaceable battery.
got mine from German Amazon and got a two year warranty. needed it to because of the bootloop issue. LG FIXED it straight away to be fair

Possibly a little misleading to describe as a combi drill as there doesn't appear to a hammer function. Drill Driver would be better description.

Does seem a good deal for drill driver and two batteries though.
Cheap as chips a great deal for a drill and 2 batteries, heat added.
Bought one when homebase were clearing out. Used it numerous times and very happy with it, plus not yet had to recharge the battery :)

Ah OK thanks, appreciate your getting back to me anyway.

There's also the Amazon 24 GB offer, valid 2 years, though currently at £41.28, and on 2-4 weeks estimated delivery.
I think quite a few of us are keeping an eye on that, hoping it'll be coming down to nearer its December price again.

If your handset is unlocked however, Three do double the data, 12GB for £22 that lasts a whole year. Doesn't matter if you take your 12GB on day 1 or day 365.
It's also good for those with a tablet locked to EE, or with an EE mifi device. Unfortunately too many people jump on any SIM deal in order to show how they know of a better deal, often not reading the original deal properly (even if you try to illustrate the specific benefits in the deal description). I wanted a 12 month SIM for my tablet at the lowest price, to be used as a backup when no wi-fi is available .

Yes I agree. It's also a pity that things like EE branded tablets are so hard to get unlocked and the firmware never gets updated. EE are out of my life and its all the better for it.

Save Money with the Argos UK Deals

ArgosArgos started life in 1973, but really rose to prominence in the 1980s when it spread into every corner of the UK. By 2013, only 4% of homes in the UK were more than 10 miles from an Argos branch. For years, the company centred its retail operations around its famous catalogues, which could be found in almost every household. The stores still include huge catalogues to choose from, but around 50% of the company’s sales now take place online. Whether you shop in-store or online, Argos continues to offer major discounts on its own and mainstream brands, and it remains one of the UK’s favourite retailers.

Where to Buy Argos Products

Shoppers can either purchase Argos products in-store or online. Finding a store is simple. Just go online to the Argos website an use the Store Locator tool to seek the nearest branch. With 740 stores nationwide, there should be a branch within a few minutes drive of your home. The other option is to head online to visit www.argos.co.uk.
