i bought one of these and it was really deep - i had to return it for a normal washing machine. it was 65cm deep vs 55 for the washing machine. just a word of warning, make sure you measure. also the 65cm measurement is conservative as the facade and door stick out 10cm more and the back is flat with no room for pipes and cables...
We had a washer dryer - the dryer broke down and we bought a dehumidifier. One of the best and most used purchases ever.

Massively cut electric bill and does the same job - albeit slower. The advantage is it doesn't shrink clothes and they still have that just washed odour. Doesn't happen in a dryer.

Wouldn't buy a washer / dryer again. Separate dryers are good if your needs must. Still cost a fortune in electric though!!

I have a friend with a new Samsung washing machine - she's had no end of issues with it and Samsung would be better off selling chocolate teapots than providing customers service for their products ......
oos as far as i can see
devill

Got any pointers for that as I'm torn between the two.

The Samsung is £166 more.

The Hotpoint is 1KG larger for both spin & dry plus 1600 V 1400 spin and gets good reviews.

Guarantee 1 V 5 years

Does the Samsung quality count any more with exploding phones and washing machines in the US.

From the phone perspective I've a note 1 & 3 ignoring the mess that is TW they were left in a truly terrible state when the stopped supporting them.

Also was not too impressed with my Samsung laser printer, I would say a max of 6-10 black cartridges and it died. True it was 5 - 10 years old but very little use and well under its quoted amount that it could do according to Samsung.

Actually I think I've decided on the hotpoint after typing the above!

But any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Amazing price. I don't think people realise how great this product is. They are just voting cold because of high price (i think). I have been using mine for 3 months now and i can not go back to another windows machine

Excellent laptop, managed to snag a nearly new i5 one for £600 a while back. I can't fault it whatsoever.
Amazing price for a surface book how did u do that?

Keep an eye on eBay, they don't seem to resell very well. The warranty also transfers to your Microsoft account as it is tied to the serial number of the book.

Not sure why this is cold either, it's more on Amazon etc for this model.

I think paints like many things you get what you pay for, i recently bought from toolstation 5 litres of Leyland trade hard-wearing Matt @ £23 on offer. So £46 for 10 litres when comparing to this deal. However it has covered well over previous colour with 2 coats my ceilings, coving and walls in my rather large 6m x 5m kitchen and 2m x 2.5m utility room. Eventually using approx 8 litres, and it's true to its spec it's very hard wearing, easy to wipe without removing paint, it's moisture resistant so when the kettle boils any steam just runs off. Very impressed with it so far, so was it worth the premium, well having bought some big tubs of dodgy paint previously i would say yes, for example the dulux 10 litre tub of standard white emulsion is only good for sealing fresh plaster, it's so thin and watered down even putting 10% in there makes it unusable, my time is money so now i only buy paint that's going to do a job in the minimum amount of time and last the longest, in the long term cheap paint is a false enonomy.
Just because a 10L tub of emulsion is cheap doesnt mean its not fit for purpose or not going to be cost effective.
I occasionally get TRADE paint at prices even Big Decorating companies would envy. Dulux TRADE matt vinyl emulsion 10L £20 Dulux TRADE Satinwood 5L £22 But I am Just as happy to use Johnstones 10L tubs Silk/Matt Vinyl emusion as the Dulux Trade.
Exactly this is not fit for purpose, this is Contract Matt which is not meant for a final finish, I would use this as a first coat to cover fresh walls or where 2/3 coats are to be added on top, you don't want to be using this as your final coat, whereas Dulux Trade Vinyl you would.
Johno`s VINYL silk/matt is better than any of the DIY Crown or Dulux 10L tubs and is more than good enough for final finish, half the time you only need one coat.
If you're using it for new plaster I'd add at least 20% water. Most say 10% but I always find 20% better. Then two coats of your final finish!

It's a kettle it boils water if you're daft enough to pay more than £9.99, never mind £29.99 or £84.99
Clearly you don't have a partner that wants matching kitchen devices. I had a plastic cheapie Wilkinson special for about a decade, boiled the water, made the tea, never broke and all was well. Now we have a nice house and suddenly the wilko kettle is not good enough. Yes it is scratched and paint stained from my decorating escapades, but it worked, i loved that kettle. If you still live in a world where buying items that work is all the matters...well...I envy you..I really do.

Bought one of these last week and it's an OK kettle for the money. It is noisy but don't understand why some people are struggling to see how much is in the sight glass it's as plain as day.
Don't bother....we have one and it leaks...
Ok kettle, looks good and matches other kitcheny stuff. not worth anything like £84.99. Probably not worth £29.99. It boils water well though. Don't understand why some people can't see the water level, I've never had any issues with that! It's not that noisy either.

Okay so I put this BBQ together yesterday. Have to say I am quite happy with the build and the finished article is sturdy and impressive looking.

Obviously it's made in China along with most other things these days but it is a solid unit for the price. The heat is evenly applied across the 4 burners and the cooking area is plenty big.

Only downside I can see is the driptray, if you could even call it that, is tiny. I'd imagine it needs cleaning directly after cooking to prevent overflowing. Otherwise I am quite happy with the purchase.
I wonder how many of this guy comes with this BBQ ?:p

lot of tag snobs on here who clearly have money to burn. just a transparent display of wealth if you can spend that much on something that TELLS THE TIME. I bet they've all got private registration plates too.
It's all relative, the Tag Heuer watch - although more expensive - could be bought, held onto for 5 years and you'd probably lose nothing on it. It's not the best watch for the money but it's decent.
This is probably not worth the money. As you said brand snobs is exactly what Rotary rely on, their heritage, as a watch company now the stuff they put into Argos is all Chinese manufactured quartz watches. You could find similar without the Rotary brand for 1/5th of the price.

Tag Heuer watches are well known for their horrible residuals - especially with their quartz models. If you want to NOT lose money then the tried and tested method is to buy a second-hand Rolex from a reputable dealer.

These viewers are terrible, I tried a Home Bargains 99p one that looked identical except for the branding and it was binned a few minutes later. I was just curious about what it would be like. If you're at all interested in using VR, its worth paying a few extra quid to get a headset that's a hundred times better and actually delivers immersion, comfort and clarity. Its the difference between a cinema experience and watching a film on a 4" TV at the end of a loo roll.

But half the battery life! Seriously, if you travel a lot the Yoga tablet are superb - the battery just goes on and on. Bit of a trade off, larger screen for less battery life, down to the individuals requirements I suppose.

Both good tablets though.
This was £99.99 a while back - I think the screen is pretty decent and plays HD videos fine.

Id say it will probably be at launch but it will have a sharp decline eventually. On the ps3 you can get the first 3 ninja storm games for about £17.

is it any way to use code on c&c?
If you mention the code at the till before you pay then you should get it yes - def works with the home codes they do as I've done that before so this shouldn't be any different
Or you can use Fast track for click and collect and once you have logged into argos on the payment screen it shows:
Got a promotional code? Enter here so you can do that - save on the delivery :-)
Yeah I know but some people like to pay cash in store or have vouchers think that's what bestec2 was asking :)

Big Savings on a Wide Variety of Products by Shopping at Argos

ArgosArgos started life in 1973, but really rose to prominence in the 1980s when it spread into every corner of the UK. By 2013, only 4% of homes in the UK were more than 10 miles from an Argos branch. For years, the company centred its retail operations around its famous catalogues, which could be found in almost every household. The stores still include huge catalogues to choose from, but around 50% of the company’s sales now take place online. Whether you shop in-store or online, Argos continues to offer major discounts on its own and mainstream brands, and it remains one of the UK’s favourite retailers.

Where to Buy Argos Products

Shoppers can either purchase Argos products in-store or online. Finding a store is simple. Just go online to the Argos website an use the Store Locator tool to seek the nearest branch. With 740 stores nationwide, there should be a branch within a few minutes drive of your home. The other option is to head online to visit www.argos.co.uk.

Making a Purchase from Argos

Buying items from argos.co.uk is simple. Just select the items you’d like to buy and add them to your shopping trolley. When you’ve finished shopping, go to your trolley. Now you need to enter your postcode to find out whether the items you require are in stock. If they are, you can pick them up the same day or have them ready to collect any time, or you can have them delivered to your door.

Before you can complete your purchase, you’ll need to set up an Argos account. This requires you to enter your email address and a few other pieces of information. After that, you’re ready to enter your payment details and check out.

Purchasing Items From Argos

The Argos Card Loyalty Scheme

All shoppers with Argos can request an Argos Card. This operates like a normal store card, allowing customers to buy items and pay for them in the future. It can be managed online or via the Argos app, and also provides discounts for regular users.

Sales at Argos.co.uk

Argos regularly runs promotions called “Price drops” which reduce the cost of selected items for limited periods of time. These are often themed around seasonal events like “back to school” or summer, but there are also regular “baby event” savings to help out parents.

Each product category on the Argos website also has a specific clearance section containing items that are heavily discounted. Again, these discounts are time limited, so act fast to take advantage of them.

Argos often offers promotional discount codes for loyal customers. The best way to keep track of these promotions is via the HotUKDeals Argos pages.

The company is also a big participant in the Black Friday/Cyber Monday retail event, held every November. As Black Friday approaches, be sure to check Argos’ pages, the HotUKDeals listings and the company’s social media channels to find out about their biggest discounts.

Argos Black Friday

Some products can also be delivered free of charge via Royal Mail, and this will be shown as an option during the payment process.

Argos Fast Track Delivery

You need to order before 20:00 the day before to take advantage of next day delivery. Standard delivery for larger items costs £6.95 (free for kitchen appliances) and £8.95 with a time slot.

If you are ordering appliances, you can also choose a “Connect” option at slightly higher cost, which includes connection by Argos technicians. You can also request that Argos take your old appliance for recycling.

Alternatively, you can choose to click and collect your items from a nearby Argos retail outlet. Most of the time, you can collect on the day of ordering, if stock is available near you. If not, the earliest collection time will be displayed when you order.
