Watch the sizing, in my experience they measure up small, by at least 1 size.....
#4
biggest they've got is 10.5 :(

Are these any good for running?

yes, away from the local constabulary.

Hot, thank you

if only the colour was white ..

Not bad running shoes. NB tend to be OK for run of the mill joggers.

Have to agree with the above comments about the colours though......

Ugly chav trainers.

Actually NB stuff is actually made for using...you know, running and stuff? For people that care more about proper kit that works than how fashionable they are? Used to be made in Cumbria too.

Hot.

they may be excellent for running but unfortunately due to the hideous look of these you can be sure they will be seen outside the markets and bus shelters of britain shortly......

If the colour scheme isn't important to you there's a review here:

Yeah, I'm not going to lie - a quality running trainer is more important to me than how it looks. I also think that dressed in the rest of my running gear, I could hardly pull of even a slight chavy look.

I can't see how running trainers can look chavy just because they are black??? What a load of tosh.
#15
how would this trainer be for flat-footed runners? people with flat feet like me?
Thanks

Plenty of "half price" trainers out there on Sportsdirect, m&m etc. These are nothing special for the price. on the colour front, as somebody who runs about 50k a week white is just stupid ..who wants to see the muddy, sweaty stains?

Sizes 6.5 to 10.5 only

Good if a fit

I think they still are made in skelmersdale i think?
New balance were on BBC Working lunch in the factory.
Probably the only uk made trainer.

No offence but not much of a review, and he even gets overpronation and underpronation mixed up.

mostwanted: You probably overpronate (your outside heel lands first and you roll in) if you have flat feet or low arches but might be worth getting checked out properly. There's a mini-FAQ with 3 short, helpful vids here: http://www.fitfaqs.co.uk/questions/running-and-marathon-faqs/what-is-my-running-gait/

As for these shoes, I can't find them on NB's website so maybe they are old stock? The price is good and I have always found NB to be comfy for casual wear but for running I think it's best to try trainers in a good sports shop first and actually buy them from the shop if the price is not a total rip-off and you get good advice from the staff.

I always buy New Balance.
Good trainees made in UK rather than some third world sweat shop.
Not often you find something made in this country anymore.

Asics every time for me but for the cost - you cant moan at these!
