They're really not great for bass, even if you did want overwhelming bass it's muddy and poorly handled in general. Even at £100 these are still not a competitive option. If you're at all interested in audio quality there's the borderline-cliche answer of picking up a pair of Audio Technical ATH M50X, and if you want more bass just add it with an EQ app. If you really want the Beats look and sound, stretch a little further to the Solo2 or Studio2, both of which were marked improvements compared to the garbage the brand were producing before that point.

Finally someone one here who knows what they are talking about instead of idiots who have never picked up a pair.

The first range were diabolical.

The Studio Wireless are excellent.

Never tried Solo 3, but heard they are better

I bought a set of these, when they were released. I ended up taking them back, and changing them for the Bose QC15. Which for me sounded a lot better, obviously everyone has different hearing. So they might be OK for someone else.
