Nice price, nice phone
Thanks. :D
I've just ordered this phone from Woolworths and they've emailed me asking to confirm the cardholder’s name, cardholder’s address, and which bank the card belongs to. It seems a little unorthodox for an online company to request this, and I've never been asked to supply this information from any other Internet company, and I've been Internet shopping for over 5 years.

I have contacted Woolworths by email (they don't seem to have a contact number) and it says that it may take up to 2 days to reply!!

Has anyone else had a similar email, or know whether it is safe to supply these details?
This also happened to me the last time I purchased from Woolies. I trusted them, so I responded with the information they asked for, and everything went fine.

It's your choice though, whether or not you want to pass that info over an email...

I am interested in buying this phone, if available.

One question, as I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to Mobile Phones:

Is it a Java Phone Model or Java J2ME enabled?

Many thanks if anyone can answer this.

Ordered this for the missus a few days ago, at £71.99. It wasn't instore when it was supposed to be, and I phoned them to ask why. Apparently they are out of stock. Went in store, and they had piles of them behind the counter. Asked if, since I had ordered one from the website, that I could have one off the top the pile. Apparently not, unless I would pay £99.99. Which I won't. Checked back on the website, and there is nothing to say they are out of stock, and the price has mysteriously gone up to £89.99 (after the friends voucher)
Phoned Cs to ask why, if they were out of stock, they had piles of them in store. Apparently the online stock is completely seperate to instore stock, kept in different warehouses, and for some unknown reason they had none in their online warehouse, yet loads instore. Surely one would not be empty, while the other is overflowing???
Also, I have been told my order will automatically be cancelled if they do not get them in stock within 3 days, and they cannot stop this happening...

Phoned CS this morning to check the stock levels for me in their 'online' warehouse. She said she'd ring back in 5 minutes...
5 hours later and she still hasn't rung.

I've been fleeced by woolies.:x
Not sure you have been fleeced funnymoney. Many companies have online and shop prices that are not the same, currys for example and if you go in they won't price match. It's often down to the store manager. Since they've (unless i understand different) not taken any of your money, you've not been fleeced. The only issue i can see if the lack of customer service in not returning your call. I'd have called *them* back by now mind.
