Has anyone noticed that their carrot and corriander is now much thinner than it used to be? So easy for the manufacturer to water it down to make extra profit at this lower price!

I hate these soups. Basically, 99% water and 1% veg.

The tomato and basil I had yesterday was 99% tomato and 1% basil. :p

The tomato and basil one is scrummy!

I think they all taste the same more or less, to creamy and not enough real flavour.

Well spotted - they seem to have reduced their quality on all their soups, which is why you see them on offer at £1 everywhere now. Shame as they used to be really nice.
PS - avoid the new special edition bean one (moroccon or something), its vile!

Great deal - however, if you've not tried to make your own have a go! It takes 5 minutes to chop the veg then simmer then blend with a hand blender or proper blender if you've got one. Dirt cheap too and no additives etc. Once you've had ago and realise how easy it is you'll be converted! i make a batch every Sunday and that does for work lunches all week for about £2 for the week. Here's a quick carrot and coriander recipe: 1 bunch fresh coriander, stalks and leaves chopped and kept separate, 1 teaspoon ground coriander, 1 onion, 5-6 carrots, 2 pints veg stock (Kallo cubes are good), small piece fresh ginger (optional but gives a nice kick.) Chop onion and carrot and sweat in olive oil with the ground coriander and ginger if using. Make sure it doesn't burn. Add stock and simmer 20mins until veg soft., Add coriander stalks and blitz smooth. Add coriander leaf right at end so it just wilts into the soup. season to taste. will keep up to 5 days in the 'fridge. Enjoy!
