I ordered a new laptop last week from Dell, went forthe Inspiron 1520 but noticed yesterday Dell seem to have released a newer model which is 25% lighter and smaller all round........it's called the Inspiron 1525. I've cancelled my original order and gone for E value code "UKDHSONL-N0152510" for no extra cash!!

Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor T5450 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 cache)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium - English

160GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive

1.6 Dual core starts at £379 and HDMI out on this...could be handy.

perhaps I ought to watch out for a 1725 as I ordered a 1720.
Good spot.

This is very good as its ligher, slimmer, thinner and produces less heat and has an increase in battery life over the 1520 as it does not have the option for dedicated graphics card which reudces battery time.

Lighter?
How much does it weigh then?

I ordered the inspiron 1520 last week, with core2duo T7500 (2.2 GHz) and the other specs as yours. It costed me (£492) using the 10% off code and the free delivery. Now, the inspiron 1525 one will be around £495 with the core2duo T7250 (2.00 GHz). So, do you think it is worth to lower the processor to get the 1520 on the same price as the 1520.

If all the other specs are the same...personally...yes, I bet you wouldn't be able to tell the difference with the processors in day to day use, but, if battery life is improved and it is lighter then they are very good reasons to change over IMHO.
