I noticed that model too this morning (you've turned me into a dell obsessed bargain hunter).

Still dreaming of a quadcore with 8800 GTX though... Thanks for the pointer as always
#3
That seems very expensive I think most other geeks will agree
#4
yip too expensive considering the similar spec dimension 9200 was going for around £680 back in aug with 2gb, 500mb hd, gts card etc + a 22" monitor. the 9200 has now been discontinued however. charlie

Yes it is expensive but if you must have a Dell XPS and it is a big leap up from a 9200 case wise with gadgets then it may be for you.

Just heard of someone buying this ecode this morning and upping the cpu to Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Extreme QX6850 Processor (2.93GHz, 1066MHz, 8MB)
for the princely sum of £2821 :w00t:

Don't expect to run the latest games with graphics turned up with that graphics card. Shocking, their choice of graphics card for a system that is a grand.

yeah, its not a bad card but afaik this is not going to handle dx10 games that well when they eventaully come out.

XPS should now be recognised as Dell Premium brand rather than a Gaming brand.

Thanks for the post MikeT, wasnt aware of this system. XPS720 still the top end rig for dell.
