Good chance you will get hit with an extra customs import charge on this :(
#2
@jok13 yeah been hit TWICE with god damn custom charge this month and it's **** me off. I didn't know royal mail started charging custom since I probably imported over 100 of stuff oversea for the past year and never got charged. The only place I can rely on now is ebay since people label the package as gift and doesn't provide a damn receipt. Also one of my package was charged way too much because they "decided" to increase my item value by like £15. Rant over *sigh

[edit - the only time they don't charge is when your product is equal to or less than £16]

guess its just a question of getting (un)lucky then. I've not been hit with an import charge yet...*fingers crossed*
#4
rnbetsy it might be luck since customs seem to have gotten much more aggressive recently. probably pressure from above re austerity measures and putting people off buying cheaper abroad given the VAT hike and general expensiveness off everything here...
#5
Customs can double the cost if you get stopped, Ive had charges worth more than the item!
#6
i wouldnt bother either - import charges mean its easier to just give the appeal £10 or $10 whatever.

plus once you have the game, its worthless and you cant trade it in anywhere.
#7
What annoys me is that the post office also charge you extra for the packages customs open.
#8
Has the limit is 18 for vat, then the post office handling charge, unless there is an option tickbox when you order for a gift, the limit is then 40 pounds.

I'm trying to order with a new account and it wants to charge me over £10 for courier delivery with no other options. How is this £21 delivered?
#10
You have to add US$ 18.90 of shipping cost. I found it last week but it is a good deal. There are coupons US$ 5 when you spend 50US$
#11
Yeah the price for the game is great, until you factor in the shipping cost (£12 is the cheapest option).

I'm amazed at the very low value of goods you are able to import into the UK before you get hit for custom charges. I moved to Australia a few years ago and found the price of most things very expensive compared to the UK but thankfully you can import goods up to the value of $1,000 without incurring any charges. If you combine this with purchases of DVDs, Blu-rays, etc from Amazon you can get them shipped free of charge, plus VAT free, so they are delivered to Aus cheaper than delivery to UK - Crazy!!!
