It's £143.97 after the voucher and free collect to store - you might want to alter price
#2
there is info in the link about a further £5 off at store

The 8gb isn't actually a new gen, the 32gb and 64gb have 256mb of ram(8gb only has 128mb) and a faster cpu plus they come with (terrible) earphones with built in mic.

The 8gb is untouched since it launched last year

You get either £5 off if buying instore else £5 off online - not both or 2 lots of £5 off instore!

I selected a delivery time and slot (£6.85) and it came up free delivery at the end! So, using the voucher its £143.97 delivered! Tried other codes but it wouldn't let me use them. Thanks OP, thats my sons 13th birthday present sorted - cheers:thumbsup:

Is this the touch 2g or is there a newer one?

If 2g, then:

£119 here.

It does say on the website that there is free delivery on all new ipods....it doesnt say anything bout speakers or volume controls, so I guess this is 1st gen...may be wrong. It says the 32g and 64g are 50% faster than the older gen. Nothing about this one though!

Not sure where you got this information but its pretty much entirely wrong.

untouched?

The 2nd gen has more battery power, it does have a different cpu too etc

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Touch anyway, not sure where you get your information from, but they even look different as there slightly thicker! So its a bit mad to say there the same!

Incidently I just paid £165 for mine from asda, oh dear :P Tescos I go to never even have Ipods!

I'm not usually an advocator of piracy, but in this case I downloaded the latest release from torrents. I think it's a bit of a cheek that iPhone users get a free firmware update and Touch's don't.

If you read the Apple press release or the Wikipedia model comparison you will see the 8gb iPod Touch was not updated. The only change is that the price has been lowered and OS 3.1 should come pre-installed.

Good shout, was about to vote this tesco deal hot until I saw that offer. Might be worth posting a seperate deal about it incase people don't know, would get a lot of heat for sure!

I love it when people try to justify stealing on the basis that somebody else got the same thing free, so they want it free too. Always makes me laugh :whistling:

Nice to know you're 'not usually' a thief though

read the wiki page carefully, look at third gen models 32gb and 64gb ONLY(8gb is still in second gen), then click here and see what Apple says, 8Gb only got updated due to price cut whereas 32gb and 64gb are NEW thanks to faster cpu and double ram. it also has voice control and a wireless N chip (not activated yet though). As for the battery life that is so far unexplained but the 32gb and 64gb both have a 789mah battery compared to last gens 739mah and there are no differences in size or weight

It's a ridiculous comparison. You're comparing the price of a refurbished item to brand new.

No its a very valid comparision, as Apple's refurbished products are always in brand new condition, only difference is the packaging. Both have a year warranty.

Tittle is wrong and needs to be changed.

This is a Ipod touch 2G, with 3.1 software. (been out for over 12 months)

The new 3G touches are 32GB and 64GB.

Why - what do you think is the difference. I can tell you the only difference is the box and the version of the firmware - the refurbished items come in a generic Apple box and typically come with an older firmware - big deal as it now costs £3 to upgrade to the latest 3.1.1 firmware. I always buy my iPods refurbished from the Apple store - briliant next day free delivery as well.

That's a contradiction. Perhaps you meant like new. There is such a thing called internal 'wear and tear' but at least Apple recognise the difference and are not selling them as brand new.
