can anyone point me to somewhere cheaper if its not the best deal??
#2
HMV has lately been selling items as 'New' and customers receiving poor quality used ones.Maybe thats the reason?
#3

Why cold? ... oO

Please state why instead of just voting for no reason. If fellow HUKD members are just going to keep voting cold with out stating a reason/cheaper place. I shall know not to bother posting deals in the first place.

and still no replies fast to hit cold but not fast to say why

what do you mean no replies? did you check javeas post?

if its new then its a great price imo.
if its damaged/second hand and you need to return etc then its not worth the hassle.

Well looking on hmvs site under there reviews there's nothing stating people have bought second hand drum sets so unless you can show me where it does do we have to vote cold every item from hmv because it maybe second hand look the guys gone to the effort of putting up a deal and its getting cold for no reason its a deal at least £20 cheaper than most other places and unless it can be found cheaper it shouldn't be cold

a deal is not just the price its the all round service. if you get this new for this price then great.
there is a chance you wont though so no point attacking the guy that explains the possible reason for cold votes.

look back through hmv threads for the 2nd hand and massive cancellation issues.

whether or not you like the reason it doesn't change the fact that there is a reason.

I read "javeas" post but personally think its a poor reason to vote cold. In all my years of using HMV online I have never had any problems and all items have arrived well packaged and in the new condition as described. Unless "javeas" has purchsed this stated item and it arrived not in the "NEW" condition as described upon purchase, then voting the deal cold is fair enuff! Chances are he hasnt though.

I suspect big changes going on behind the scenes because HMV online are definitely not the same as they were a few years/months ago. Advertising secondhand tat as new stock is the norm for them now.

Why care so much about a deal being posted cold? Surely the whole point of posting it was to let others know. Whether it gets voted cold or hot shouldn't matter.

but you cant judge this deal on other deals unless customers have had issues with this item.and if you can show me the link for this item been used id love to see it
hmv have thousands of listings on here and voted hot

It is a hot deal.

HMV has **** off so many people, mostly in the last month, that I can imagine they are voting cold. If you are burned a couple of times by one company, it's not that strange people want to advise others to stay clear from placing orders with that company.

then why have the voting if it shouldn't matter

and this i dont disagree with but all i was saying if you going to vote cold then tell people why if they have been selling used items then let people know this dont just vote and run

I have recieved a number of games from HMV over the past few weeks.Sold as 'New'vbut with pre-owned stickers on the covers & unsealed.I haven't voted on this deal as cold as I can't comment on this particular item.Just giving a reason why it is not as 'Hot' as it should be

Funny people should mention that about HMV as I got the DJ Hero offer a few weeks back and although it was all wrapped up and appeared brand new the decks did have a fair bit of dust on them and a couple of scuffs. May have just been paranoid!

So the properly "hot" deals get posted to the main page? It's really just a gimmick IMO. I don't bother voting most of the time unless it's a proper bargain. But I think it's pointless to cry about cold votes. Post a deal so others can take advantage of it then forget about it. Other than that why care about the votes?

how can you expect people to justify their votes?
someone did and you started arguing with them!
you didn't bother looking through their recent threads obviously so dont know.

as i stated - new item at the advertised price = hot
chance of getting 2nd hand etc cancels that out for me but maybe not others.
