Have just seen this in the shop today and online. Really lovely looking laptop and seems to be at a good price for a new laptop especially HP.

Think its on offer for the bank holiday weekend, can anyone say if this is a good deal? As I dont want to miss out, reckon they will go quick... Mainly want to use it for watching Youtubes, facebook and saving my photos and videos.

AMD A6 processor

4GB Ram

1TB HDD

8 Hours battery life

Comes in teal, white, red, silver and blue I think

Noticed you can get a printer with it for £40 too which isnt bad.

Good deal just a little low RAM but you wouldn't need it for that judging by what you said. Good storage and decent enough processor (think it's not the newest one but I don't know, surely good enough to run it anyway).

CPU you should be aiming for a10

8 hours battery would be very impressive?

2500 cpu benchmark . my i5 desktop around 6000. i3s around 2500 to 3000 i think . i need to research the built in gpu and see how good vs Intel graphics but i thought supposed to be good wish would be useful for light gaming. battery life the main interest for me as after a couple of years they always half so i don't like to buy anything that doesn't have huge battery life to begin with.

Seems a good deal price wise compared to other sellers. Currys just put me off with their marketing ploy of putting the price up for 3 weeks and then bringing it back down again and announcing a big sale discount.

If you can afford £30 more you can usually get AMD A8 with 8gb ram for about £300
For example Tesco have this http://www.tesco.com/direct/lenovo-g50-45-156-amd-a8-8gb-ram-1tb-hdd-black-laptop/487-4424.prd?skuId=487-4424

CPU is pretty mediocre, Intel Core i3-4005U is quite a bit faster for comparison.

Would be very surprised if you got anywhere near this in reality. I would expect 2 to 3 hours max if your properly using it.

yikes that is putting me off. i can get 8 hours plus on my asus t100 atom netbook. but want a bigger screen for my son. i goy a dell.xps 18 inch tablet windows pc and battery is 1 to 2 hours on i3. this would be a game changer if 8 hours and graphics should be better too. better balance in my opinion than an i3 ans integrated graphics?
