nice deal

Good deal, voted hot. But the product itself is really bad. Controls are now located on the headphone strap......forcing you to buy official Apple headphones if you damage the set you have. I'd stay clear until all the 3rd partly accessories get released!
#3
And Quidco @ 8% = £4.80 less (I Think) making it £27.87
#4
This is the one thing even the Apple fan boys are saying dont buy,Even people who love ipods throw away the headphones and use quality ones but Apple are going to charge every headphone manufacturer a fee to use Apples inline chip and no doubt most will just not bother,
#5
I have actually found that the newer iPod headphones, with the remote, sound quite good to be honest!
#6
VERY HOT! Brilliant price! Great find thanks very much!
#7
Just noticed that they only have the Black one in stock though :( Still great price but I want the Silver One, I've put my name down to be notified when they'll get some more stock of it, and i'll update the thread.

This. Although the chip is not encrypted meaning someone in China will copy it, Apple will be driving up the price of headphones.

Avoid just on principle of anti-monopoly.

You could call me an Apple fan boy (I'm not really) and I'd advise not to buy this model.
Use the Additions Direct first-time-buyer code for something else.

out of interest - does anybody know if an audio splitter would work with this so I could have it as my in car iPod? I'm thinking of leaving it in the glovebox plugged into the 3.5mm jack that is located in there but obviously if a song came on I wanted to skip i would need the headphone controls to skip it so was thinking a 3.5mm splitter with one plugged into the Aux socket & one for the headphones may help overcome the problem

Obviously I wouldn't be skipping tracks whilst I was driving but my wife could if she was in the car

No it won't work because the control is done with some extra contacts on the 3.5mm jack that would not be inside the splitter. Simply buy a quality MP3 player from say Sony or iRiver and get a display too.

I've already got an iPod touch & classic - I'm just after a small in-car solution/alternative to the radio and not a fan of the FM transmitter I've currently got, but thanks for the suggestion and info
#14
My ancient iriver talks to me all the time.
#15
ipods are ALL sh!te if you ask me, and have to be the most overrated gadget in history.

Suppose this is hot if you don't want to waste as much money buying one though.

Ever used an iPod touch? I love mine, you won't really find anything like it apart from the iPhone.
#17

#18

Why's that?

This is a good deal for what it is , lets be honest we have had the old shuffles here for a range of prices and always voted hot. with quidco this is a super hot deal for an apple product. Give as a gift or sell on fleabay or keep its a good deal.

If someone saw this in Sainsburys for £27 then it would go over 1000 in heat !!!

Agree! I bet he is jigging along to his Sony Walkman, turning tapes over...

I've heard loads of comments (twiiter / forums etc.) that the product reacts badly to water (e.g. sweat) so care should be taken before purchasing this if you wish to use it during excercise.

Hot price etc. and rep added.
#33
Nice price, awful controls and forced to use one of the worst headphones on the market. Adapters will be out shortly, but that is alot of effort and £££ to use proper headphones.

Apple always have prided themselves on their design and ease of use, this is a huge step backwards, something I might expect in a new zune but not an apple product. Seems apple is already missing Steve Jobs.

Have no idea why they introduced the voice chat.....it not like you do not know what music you have put in your shuffle, a nice feature for radio maybe, but your won collection????

Still hot if image is your thing and like wearing apples white headphones to show that you own an apple product.

reacts badly to sweat!!!!..... its only saving grace was that it could be used for excercise where people did not want to fiddle with control on the unit....

Thanks for the heads up...

thanks for that ,but still, it worrying, I confirmed twice when I was asked to enter the extra pin no.
by the Mastercard !
it was 32.67

it that means, if I buy from a rogue website, they can charge me till I break my bank for penny stuff?
#38
has it got a standard ipod connection, as my girlfriends car radio has a dedicated ipod input cable and i thought this might be of use. does anyone know?
#39
I don't understand why Additions Direct their payment system is so complicated.

I made an order and I have to manually make the payment through my account settings. Why don't they just automatically debit the amount from my card?

Is there any reason for this? and I do have a credit limit of £400. Why?

Cheers
