Expensive & overpriced.

Who will pay £125 (or more, cant remember) for basically an enlarged, with more memory - iPod Shuffle (i.e New iPod Nano)

Also £189 for 8gb touch - having a laugh.

wont be upgrading as would cost £249! :|

It's only the apple tv that is cheaper, and this isn't a deal as they are all RRP, the touch is more expensive than the old model, not voting either way but will probably get cold in here!!
#3
i didn't even know the new touch was released thanks

Worth all the extra ££'s on top of the old price? £40 more on an 8GB! (well, £37)

Sorry, but cold. Nice 'n' shiny, but pricey - no deal here.

And before anybody goes shooting off to buy a new Apple TV - read the specs - 720p only! Still no 1080p. A better deal is the WD TV HD Live Plus which you'll be able to pick up for around the same money.

Couldn't agree more. Alleged cutting edge technology should be able to play 720/1080p mkv without a problem..

Apple have just discovered HDMI - what a joke of a company it's become. Shame, it was ground breaking before mass consumerism kicked in.

Anyone know if this new airplay can rival sonos/squeezebox?

This isn't a deal. It's the RRP... Expired.
#15
Yeah how is this a deal? its just the RRP of the items?
#16
maybe its just a benchmark for u 2 work from
#17
I must admit I am disapointed by the price. I was expecting it to be £189 for the 16gb, not a rubbish 8
#18
What i dont get is that in the USA the Apple TV will be $99 in the UK its £99 ! so over here we would be actually paying about $150. But for the new Shuffle the £ price is correct at £39 with USA Price at $49. & why buy the new Nano when the 5th Generation does more?
#19
No GPS on the touch. What a rip off

have you just made a mess?

Did the nano never play video then? Thought the 3rd/4th/5th gen all did.

All RRP, and the iPod touch was always going to increase in Price, considering the iPhone 3GS cost £460 at release and the iPhone 4 costs £500 with all the extra features.

Cold, will wait out for a few retail stores to get them in and sell at a cheaper price. I'd happily have a 32gb ipod touch and carry around a crappy £10 nokia for the price, saves a fair bit on an iphone.
#24
You also get 3% quidco buying from Apple.

Is there anywhere that does a cheaper deal on the new stuff than Apple? i.e. is there any where that's got cheaper price or better quidco?

If not then I'd be compelled to vote hot since it'd be the cheapest deal on the new Apple products.
#25
intrested in the touch but few questions;

if i was on a train and wanted to use the internet on the touch, could i?
can i multitask? listen to music and read ibook?

As they are all RRP then you would have to vote hot on every retailer that stocks them as no one would be more expensive.

Cold as all are RRP and we are getting ripped off anyway as they are cheaper in the US.

Unfortunately no internet on move unless train has wifi. The big drawback over iPhone is no 3G connection. No gps either and camera is apparently low res.
#28
Is this site now HotUKRetailPrices.com? :p

Sorry, cold!

Who's the target audience for the Apple TV, they failed to sell previously due to their lack of features.

The US version gets TV program rental and netflix, the European version doesn't get that.

I had heard that they were looking at putting 3G into this to give people the chance to take advantage of data only contracts. Guess that didn't happen then... Also like has already been said, it should have been £189 for a 16GB not 8GB. Very poor relaunch.

Surely they should have launched 2 versions, 3G+Wifi, and wifi only?

I like the additions but they certainly don't warrant the price hike. As always with Apple, they try to justify what others would class as standard as a premium.

The non-introduction of the much rumoured higher capacity models (i.e. 128GB) is the biggest miss for me.

EPP program (equivalent to student) brings the prices down to...

Shuffle = £36.43
Nano = from £121.03
Touch = from £177.43
TV = £92.83
