And it's iTunes Plus so 256kbps DRM free. Should change the title dude.

Really cheap for an album. Heat added. :)

....and rep. Congratulations on your first post. Welcome to HUKD. ;-)

She really took her time making this! Nice find!

Seems to have expired now, £7.99. So glad I bought it at £1.50! Great find!

EDIT : Or perhaps not, I get £7.99 show sometimes, odd.

Still showing as £1.49

They should price all new albums like this, probably sell ten times as many.
#7
It's showing £1.69
#8
Great find!

£1.69 at Amazon, direct link is still directing us to Amazon rather than iTunes, there is 8% Quidco available with iTunes too so might be worth clicking through from Quidco.

This album is cheaper then prices over 35 years ago. How do they do it?
#15
i liked the last album and at under two quid, why wouldn't you give this a try...
Nice find.

£1.49 is a crazy deal for a brand new album, at this price point it will put the bit torrent sites out of business! A very hot deal! :)
#17
I hope they get crazy sales from this.

Maybe the record industries decades worth of price gouging is finally coming back our way......................who am i kidding thatll never happen.

Could it be a mis-price? Perhaps this was meant to be a single for £1.49. There is also a £7.99 one on iTunes with one bonus track (that can bought individually).

Cheers,

Bought, dowloaded and now being listened to.

Seeing as how you can get most new CD albums for around the £8 mark I find having a downloadable version for the same price a complete joke. "Here, have a lower quality version with no actual CD or packaging and pay the same" - no thanks.

If they did downloads for around £4 then I could accept the limitations otherwise I'll just buy the CD and rip it myself.

At £1.49 it's got to be worth it if you like the artist.

Think you've all played your part in a new kind of great rock n roll swindle. The album is now £6.99 and at number 4 in the Amazon album charts. Casual, speculative viewers of the chart will think - ooh, that album must be good as it's number 4 in the chart and, thus, pay £6.99 for a speculative purchase. If the v.cheap offer hadn't appeared the album would probably languishing around no.73 and no speculative purchases.

Hats off to Jem's marketing bods, they've earn't their stripes and I suspect we may see a few more of these kinds of offers in the future.

That is an amazing find, I love the first album and even if this only has a couple of good songs at this price it's worth it to find out. Exceptionally well deserved heat and rep added.

price seems to have been amended now.. 6.99 on amazon and 7.99 on itunes. ah well, great deal while it lasted :-(

shame.....

will we get charged the difference if we've already bought it and downloaded it?

Check your Amazon Invoice, if there is any contention around the sum that they have billed you for then post it up on this thread - I am sure others that have purchased at the same price will be equally as miffed if they get billed extra and will be equally as keen to complain. That said, I've never had any problems with Amazon so I reckon you've nothing to worry about.

Do people really do that? I mean, look at the charts and think "hmm, if everyone is buying it, it must be great". Granted, people are stupid...

I just bought this album on 7digital for £1.79. Fantastic deal - great music. Snap up a bargain whilst it lasts!
