I have been looking to by a Kinect for my son and I have been looking for a good deal and saw this in HMV Meadowhall.
Brand new Kinect for Xbox 360 and Disneyland Adventures (or you could chose Kinect Sports 2 or Dance Central 2 - edit.)
Receipt says:

Game £39.99
Discount £79.99
I know you can get the game cheaper, but thought it was good for the bundle.
'Adventures' is included too.

Choice of 8 games including the new Disneyland one.
It probably will do given that to my understanding Kinect Adventures comes bundled with the Kinect anyway.
This is an excellent deal as far as I can see. My other half has been mentioning that she likes the look of the Kinect for the Dance Central games. With some tactical trading in between HMV and Gamestation for Disneyland Adventures (I have some spare credit from Gamestation too), I could probably make a better deal out of this than the Amazon one.
Ficking great deal, been looking all week! heat given
According to the "experts" on here, it was going to be £50 Jan 2011!! :| For some reason its not dropping at the expected rates. This deal is hot, I just need to figure out if it would be used OR if it will end up as ANOTHER piece of unused tech gathering dust after two weeks.
You can buy an adaptor thing that helps (some say otherwise!!) with small rooms.
Can you clarify this? I haven't heard of it; the only thing I've heard of is an attachment called the Nyko Zoom that clips onto an existing Kinect, but is meant to be a bit rubbish.
EDIT: Found news of a Kinect for Windows coming out next year that can focus a lot closer, but that may just be limited to PC use.

Just wondering whether to get this for my 3y old DD. Don't even have an xbox yet, just wondering whether to get one since there seem to be a few deals on them at the moment. What are the good games on them for 3y plus kids if there are any such ones. Are there any games of educational value like puzzles etc for kids?
Just cancelled my Gamestop order.
I have been rining HMV Bekton for 11 minutes with no answer to try to finds out if they are doing it.
Anyone know?

Can't be used when buying games hardware
You heard wrong. They're releasing slightly new hardware for the PC with new firmware for closer tracking. It won't effect 360 gameplay.
Works with both, comes with an adapter if you are using the old Xbox, the new Xbox has a port built in for it.

it most likely does include Adventures - if it don't u can go to CEX/Game and pick it up 2nd hand for about £3.00
Beckton ARE doing it.
Great deal. I hope Gamestop are ok about me cancelling my one ordered last night
Great deal though and know a few people have said but it does include Kinect Adventures. Was suprised there wasn't much promotion instore for the bundle though!
Thanks OP!
Telford has them, but not sure if that's close to you!
I would say 3 is too young for most Xbox games (they're too hard at that age) and she might not be tall enough for the Kinect. I would wait til they're starting school, (at least 5) to make the most of it. Even then there's not much geared for younger kids. 6-7 year olds love stuff like Lego star wars and Viva Pinata. Kinect Dance Central is actually aimed at older kids and adults and is relatively hard. You'd probably be better with a Wii or some PC games (expecially of you want 'educational' ones).

That was a rumour from Eurogamer regarding Kinect 2 which may or may not be bundled with the next Xbox console. There won't be a new Kinect until then, and this will be the only one available for the Xbox 360 until at least Christmas 2013.

"The new firmware updates for the Kinect will enable the depth camera to see objects as close as 50 centimetres in front of the device without losing any precision. Microsoft calls this “Near Mode” and the company hopes it will enable a whole new class of “up close” apps that have not been made available previously."
Still if anyone wants to sell the disneyland game then send me a pm!!
