Can't comment on the taste yet as it is in the process of being chilled, I don't have much expectation to be honest but at 50p a bottle its worth a try. Carling says...

A refreshing winter lager with a hint of spiced orange

Appearance: A light golden colour.

Aroma: Natural orange and subtle sweet spice aroma.

Taste: A medium bodied lager with a light orange, sherbet & spice character that has a sweet & astringent balance.

Aftertaste: A sharp clean finish with refreshing orange linger.

I don't understand people who just cant have a drink to enjoy it, why do you have to drink high volumes all the time to get wasted. If that is the case then just purchase higher volumes and don't take the **** of this drink
I visit Hungary at least twice a year, where they have a similar drink and also have many other flavors all around 3%.
It is great, I can drink all day whilst visiting many different friends and without getting too drunk to make an idiot of myself.
not sure on how this one tastes but as mentioned before by airey mine are chilling also.

Its not the strength thats the issue with shiz water that is Carling (or any type of Inbev or Scottish & Newcastle brewery lager for that matter).

I don't drink to get drunk, I simply enjoy larger/beer/ale with some taste behind it, and that tends to come around the 5%+ mark.

The lemon zest is a nice drink but I havent tried this. The last time I had something similar was when Becks tried an orange flavoured beer a couple of years ago and it was the worst drink ever - the one and only time I've poured untouched beer down the sink.

No idea what "shiz water" is or "inbev".
Is that Chav speak?
Maybe if you gave up smoking your taste buds might work correctly again.

****! i remember my local doing a lovely pint of heineken at 3.8, then the brewery changed it to 5.4 coz that was the "trend" tasted like ****!

a quick tip if you don't like the taste of oranges, just add some dog **** to it, it will taste disgusting but better that carling.

well, I don't mind the lemon one, but the orange one is well, not very orangey to be honest. You could say it's refreshing, and you ain't gonna get mashed on the stuff that's for sure, but they're not exactly 'zesty'. Not bad, not great, just drinkable. Good price though.

By the way, Cobra did a couple of really lovely flavoured beers a while back - and they were so much better than these. Alas, it looks like only me bought them and they stopped making them after a short while :(

This stuff tastes horrid, Bought some today to try it out and fell like throwing it all away. One of the worst tasting beers I've had the misfortune having.

Beer and fruit should not be mixed IMO.

I don't understand why they brew these beers to have no taste and then add synthetic flavours. The alcoholic content for me is less of an issue. You can get some excellent session ales and milds at 3.2 - 3.8% which have bags of natural flavour. This is targeted beer marketing at its worst. To be honest this stuff is a waste of water and electric! It would be difficult to vote this hot if they were giving you the beer with a fiver sellotaped to the box.

If this is anything like Becks Orange (which I sincerely hope they've stopped producing), then it will taste absolutely minging!

Inbev is the name of a major brewery in UK (Bud, Stella, Becks). I imagine shiz water implies the beer will give one a bad dose of the shizs... then again it may be amore technical term i haven't come across...

Anyone recommend a nice beer then? I don't drink much at all but now and again at certain times like xmas it's ok.

I've tried the Becks, Carlings, Heineken,Bud, Stella..the usual like Fosters but something different that stands above all these possibly?
#30
If you really want to try some nice flavoured beers go to Belgium.

I was in Ghent some time ago, and came across a "Real Ale" type pub, which had a great selection of bottled beers.

After trying quite a few decided one of the best was "Kriek Beer" brewed in the Lambic method which is apparantly different to the way they normally brew beer, but it was in fact quite a nice Cherry flavoured beer around 6% abv.

I also tried, pear, banana, cassis, strawberry, and peach, but the cherry one was my favourite.

Go try it.....

got this about 2 weeks ago, just thought they were selling off old stock in my local so never posted but its a lovely refreshing drink

Do not know why they market it as a winter drink as its defo for the summer

Its a lot like bud lime if anybody has had that in USA but a lot weaker but then again not every thing is based around strength ( note the major beers are doing 4% versions instead of just the loony juice.

shame theres no Kronny 4% Id buy that all day long and might even make it home

oh and before I forget robrainsford people like you tend to get a slap in the parties I go to.

bring your own beer and drink it - are you a teacher, been to many parties and they seemed to be the worst for this type of behaviour.

I keep crate of this at home for when the children bring their friends round unexpectedly. Trouble with primary school children, is they are always thirsty, and it's good to offer variety.
