Two hundred nicker for a watch! You have to be kidding me.

Anyway, it's an awesome watch that's only been out for a couple of months and builds on the growing reputation of TomTom for creating a Garmin-rivalling sports watch with built-in HRM and GPS.

Have had the previous generation TomTom for 9 months now and it's actually a bit of a bargain compared to the main competitors.

Treadmill and swim metrics can be a bit flakey but it does the job and with auto uploads to Strava / Runkeeper etc you aren't walled-in like Polar devices.

Review of the new model:

User review of the old one (same but with strap):

If you are happy to live with a strap, the original Multisport is dropping in price, now only £165

Cheapest GPS watch (that's any good) is the Garmin Fr10 @ £71 which isn't a bad deal either.
Go with the Garmin, tomtom always seem to be half baked with all their products these days and this is no exception.
Or buy a cheap android mobile and download free software to track in full colour, including your route on google maps. Heart rate watches can be had at lidl/aldi cheap too.

Yup, that's why their shares are up 50% in the last year. They are moving out of the SatNav market and into more lucrative sections, especially around data. These GPS watches are quite highly rated and are pushing Garmin all the way (although not quite there yet).

As for Android devices, that's what I used to use but lugging around a smartphone and separate cheapo HRM watch is not a solution; it's a compromise.
