Too many choices. Do I go for this, orange SF or htc wildfire?

agreed, very very confusing! all about the same price! and all seem to be as good as each other and on android! also the Samsung galaxy apollo
personally, i wouldnt go for the SF because the battery life is only 9 days! (216 hours)
but definate toss up between the apollo, x8 and wildfire though!

If it's anything like the X10 then dont bother! My misses had three of these before she gave up and went to an Iphone 4 - First one refused to send MMS messages, and was then found to be faulty, and the 2nd and 3rd keps resetting.

SE phones have real issues with resetting...I'll never buy another, looking like HTC for me

This isnt bad. As I am a PAUG phone user £130 is about my limit as I have a great PMP which suites all my media needs.

I would get this if i needed a new phone.

The only let down on the Wildfire is the resolution, other than that HTC is a better make imo

It looks trust worthy as its a part of moneysupermarket

Indeed. But for me it has to be Android 2.2, so I think I will wait for a bit.
#20
Does it have to be unlocked in order for it to be accepted by the phone trade in company?
#21
cheaper at very.co.uk

though i'd rather use tesco
#22
X10 is still using 1.6 although SE have promised 2.1 since earlier this year. It's been postponed again until November and it's doubtful if 2.2 will ever be released.

The last very minor update infact cause MORE problems.

This will certainly be my last phone frrom SE and I'll be moving to HTC...

I would run far, fast and wild away from one of these...

Take it you own both this and a wildwire, hence your in a position to say the wildfire is better?

I'd vote this hot for the price, but if it's me, I'd get htc wildfire from vodafone on payg and use the code nation10, which will bring down the cost to gbp126. I definitely prefer wildfire over sony X8.

link to htc wildfire:

I've got the SF as it at the time was waaay cheaper than the Wildfire, even though has come down loads now, but the SF has a much much better screen than the Wildfire and is bigger, a lot of the android apps wont work with the wildfire as its such a small screen. the camera is better and does have a trackpad, but most people wont use that much anyway! I was seriously wanting the Wildfire for months, but as soon as the SF was announced I bought it within days, and Ive no issues with it at all, and its not got much bloatware on it either. Also looks and feels the same build quality as the Wildfire!

But about the actual deal this is the Xperia mini (which isn't obvious at first) and it is cute but I just don't think its going to be much use as an actual compact smart phone like the Wildfire and SF and the camera on this is the worst of the 3 as is the OS build, and doesn't have any real time frame which is a bit of an issue as only 1.6! Plus they've only dropped the price of it because the Wildfire dropped because the SF coming out. So cold from me I'm afraid.

No, the phone does not have to be unlocked and you only need to send the phone+battery only. http://www.money4mymobile.com don't forget £3.50 quidco

You can get £190 Debenhams voucher from:

Has anyone used that company before?

Orange SF is getting rave reviews.

I was waiting for this one, but the waiting became unbearable, so I went with another budget option in the LG GT540 Optimus.

The only gripe I'd have with this, is that Sony Ericsson have put their own thing on it for Facebook and Twitter. It's quite good, but I like to have an individual app for stuff like that. Personal preference.

Either way, for a phone that is in between the X10 and X10Mini, this is a great deal. The X10 unlocked is about £300, and the Mini is around £200. This being £129? Android? Bangin'.

Beware they have very negative reviews i.e. taking too long to send a cheque, cheques bounced/rejected by bank, revising the stated price etc

Looks nice

thanks, what about Money4mymobile? does it have a good review?
#34
Looks nice but Sony's X models all have serious flaws. My X1 and X10 run terribly slow compared to HTC HD2 or my new Desire HD.

I've not used them before but according to their website they are offering to purchase this model of phone for £165.00p.

good find ... just ordered through Quidco.. also chose to collect delivery from store to save £5 delivery charge.. heat added.. cheers.

I have both the X10 mini and the SF.

The X10 mini has a great camera and is very pocketable if you are going out and about - the speaker is also great for playing media. However, for browsing and playing games the screen / resolution is just too small, hence me buying the SF.

SF is just great - the screen quality is unbelievable for the price, but is too big to carry on a night out IMHO.

I love the X10 mini, but am fed up with the 2.1 update being pushed back and back again. Most manufacturers are starting to ship 2.2 now, but SE can't even get their act together with 2.1 - if you want the latest and greatest, avoid SE.

The X8 sounds like a good compromise to me...

2 phones due to arrive today 1 to trade and 1 to keep.

I'm a bit nervous about the Love2recycle site, as £165 seems too good to be true.

Can anyone calm my nerves and confirm that they'll accept a branded (o2)/locked phone?

I don't think £165 is that good, this phone is over £290 where ever i have checked, but they are sim free.

They should accept any, it doesn't state anywhere on the website about any simlocks, so I suppose they take any.

It's being sold for £130 from Tesco and Very so surely that's the RRP
