Anyone know if you can get the official headset cheaper for the ps3 rather than buying the socom game along with it?, ive tried other blutooth headsets and have had trouble getting the ps3 to conect to them so ive decided just to go for the official headset.

Ordered a PS3 from there on the 9th of July.

Here's the letter I got on the 10th:

"Dear Mr Howle,

Thank you for your recent order.

We wish to advise you that the sum of £224.99 was charged to your Delta card on the 9th of July by ourselves.

However, due to an increase in fraudulent transactions we have now reviewed our security procedures and instigated security checks with our bank where we request a "code 10" check on all orders over £100.

Your card provider advised us that, with your code 10 check, they were unable to verify that your payment details were correct. In light of this we have stopped your order from being despatched but are unable to issue a refund for security reasons.

Please could you confirm the address details (we need the billing address for your payment card) so that the code 10 can be reattempted and your order can then be processed, or alternatively please contact your local bank to request a charge back in order to obtain your refund.

Please accept our apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience caused.

Yours sincerely

Customer Services".

I have found in their terms and conditions in section 8:
"8. Price and Payment

Payment is taken once we have established that we can fulfill your order and checked details and stock availability."

I have contacted the bank via telephone and actually physically walked in there asking many times about the address issue at hand and they say that the address info I provide is correct, made telephone calls and sent emails to the company too - ensuring that they have repeated the 'code 10' process THREE TIMES now.

I cannot request a charge back at the bank until 30 days have passed of them not delivering the goods, since they have already withdrawn the funds from my account.

I have a friend who made an order for a PS3 at the exact same time as me who received his on
the 13th July.

Is this lawful for them to take the funds out of my account BEFORE performing the code 10 security check?

What do you guys think?

I think these folks would be better off answering that question for you:
