Edit: Price has gone up for Xbox/PS3, but still the cheapest for PC at £11.98

Best price yet for one of the most popular games of 2010.

Heard this is a fantastic game, still waiting to unwrap it on Christmas myself...

Gameplay is owned by the same company as GAME and Gamestation, so one of the most reliable retailers you could get this from, etc.

Edit:
This is their "Steal of the week" price, so it might possibly expire tonight? Not entirely sure to be honest...

Not sure if it's cheaper elsewhere on the PC, haven't looked around for that.

Heard some players have encountered some bugs, but if you save fairly often and maintain 3-4 different save points you should be fine though.
Plus i think either a patch has already arrived or is on its way, according to something i read from the developers the other day.

If it's anything like Fallout 3 the price will go back up after christmas and wont get this low again for 6+ months.
Regretted not grabbing FO3 early while i could get it for this price :/

Are you 100% sure it's that price in store too? Their website pricing often differs from instore... Plus Gameplay are usually really quick with their deliveries based on previous experience. Would have thought 8 days until xmas eve would be enough time for it to arrive...

Edit 2:
Jesus christ, i can't believe HUKD's still broken 6? months after the new site layout, i thought they were meant to be fixing these site bugs?

Not for a long while, bearing in mind its longevity will be extended due to DLC due out soon.

Today is the last day for free saver delivery with amazon. Most are setting deadlines for xmas sooner than ever - worse if you live in Scotland

Dont let that put you off tho this is such a good game.

Nice price, voted hot and will order it.

Has Gameplay suddenly dropped their Quidco rate, though? I ordered last week and I'm sure it was 6 or 7% for software, now it's down to 3.5%.
#19
If i hadn't already ordered myself a good few things for xmas i would get this too, won't be greedy though lol Good price :D

The patch has been released for the PS3, and the xbox release is imminent, so this is a good time to buy, especially considering the excellent price on all three formats.

Very tempted, but swore that I'd wait for GOTY at £20, whenever that happens...

Worthy promise. Unless multiplayer like COD4, I wait for the GOTY price drop.

I ended up buying 3 different versions of Fallout 3 so I could get all of the DLC oO After I have completed the main game on New Vegas, I think I will trade it in and wait for the GOTY too

You'll be waiting at least a year i think. Plus if it's like the last GotY you could just borrow the disk for 5 minutes from a mate, install to hard drive, then give it back, etc.

Edit: Think the GotY probably wouldnt be out for at least a year (run up to next xmas probably), and then you'd have to wait for the price drop, so probably 18-24 months possibly...?

Play it again, Johnny Guitar.

This is an awesome game by the way and well worth 17 quid of any console owner's money.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't like me though and due to some personal phobias I couldn't get much further than Primm before I had to give up but if you're not squeamish over crawly things and like a good RPG then look no futher. :)

Remember, the giant mutant bugs are more scared of you than you are of them =p
It's a real shame you cant use something like this game to help you combat your phobia, though...

Hope you were at least able to get a good trade in price, or were able to gift it to someone else

Usually the price drops rapidly with a GOTY version, retailers and most people don't seem to value the extra content included very much. I'd expect the GOTY to be available for around £20-25 come this time next year.

I had the HK version so I just sold it to a mate.

To be honest, I was fine, sticking to the roads, until I got to the Ant colony just after Primm which took me a while to get through. I finally slaughtered them all, taking them from a distance one at a time and then got a bit further down the road and got ambushed by a bunch of raiders, more ants and two massive scorpions and that was it for me. :-(

In fairness, I probably wouldn't have been able to get past the first batch of mole rats whenever they show up anyway though since they were the enemy which scared the life out of me on FO3. Rats are my biggest fear of all.

Eldini, is this only possible with X360 version though? Did the PS3 Fallout 3 'GOTY' edition come on 2 Blu-Rays or just the one Blu-Ray? I know this works for the X360 version as i've lent my 2nd disc to a friend before so they could install all 5 pieces of DLC to the X360's HDD and play them with the original disc.

I'm waiting on a GOTY edition of this too..... Still not played ESIV: Oblivion GOTY or Fallout 3 GOTY yet!! Mass Effect 2 is taking up all my time currently (as well as NFS:HP, Bad Company 2 & Blops)
#31
Cal.: Not really kept an eye on GotY versions before except FO3, and that took ages to plummet...

Spark: That's unfortunate, hope you're able to get over it at some point :/

iamthelloyd: Not sure about the PS3 version, think i heard it was on a single bluray, dunno if the install trick works anyway or not...

Btw, just saw that you can get FO3 GotY + FO:NV for £30.88 on both xbox and PC, due to this thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/fallout-new-vegas-ps3-for-17-97-asd/828467

Not a big game player, but I'll have that.
Good link

Is this a continuation on Fallout 3? I haven't played that yet, would it ruin the story line if I went straight into this?

Separate games made by separate companies. You don't need to play Fallout 3 before you play this. It uses the same game engine though, so it'll likely feel the same.

trade in price at argos is currently £18 for this game. Well worth the price, play it for a week, trade it in and make £1!!! not a huge profit but better value than renting it or storing it on your shelf!!!
#36
But it's better game than F3 and to be honest F:NV should be named real Fallout 3 as it feels more like two games from 90s.

Thanks man, hope so too, I'll probably just stick with Mass Effect until then.

Speaking of which, that ME3 trailer looks awesome by the way.

ordered from game for reward points and 7% quidco for an extra buck... mainly cos ive never been let down with delivery from game. will be good to get this for xmas holidays.
#39
If you have both consoles.. get it for the xbox 360.

That has exclusive add on content which I wish I'd known before buying it for the flipping ps3!

A week? What a waste. Took me over a month to play through, around 90 hours in total. Got £15 trade in from Asda for it.

Game of the year for me, absolutely brilliant.
