The Sainsbury’s online store uses a familiar shopping trolley system where customers click on the products they want and add them to their trolley. However, before you can proceed to the checkout, you will need to register with the site and make sure that Sainsbury’s can deliver to your postcode. Registering with the site will create a Sainsbury’s account, where you can manage your orders, add credit or debit cards, change your delivery address and personal details.
The Sainsbury’s Loyalty scheme
Sainsbury’s is part of the Nectar card scheme (and was a founder member), which gives members access to savings across a wide range of British retail outlets. Customers accumulate points and are provided with discounts, which can be managed via the Nectar App.
Sainsbury’s are always offering discounts on major brands, and their weekly deals can be found at the Great Offers section on their site.
The firm also plays a prominent part in the UK’s Black Friday retail event, which takes place every November and marks the beginning of the festive retail season. This can include big reductions on electronics, as well as clothing and cosmetics. TU Clothing also hold regular sales of men’s and women’s clothing, so it’s worth checking their sales page regularly to keep up to date.
