Some failry grim designs there, although these Radio Controlled watches has abig discount. Not sure that it's a hot deal for a "Science Museum" brand watch though.

I'm never buying a budget/bargain watch from Amazon, or even online ever again.

Three times now, the battery has died within 2years, I'm pretty sure all these cheap watch stocks have battery lifes which are horrible. I have a nice Seiko Kinetic bought from Tesco Vouchers @ Goldsmiths back when Tesco's had some nice loopholes and a Casio watch which I expect to die and I'll probably replace with a Citizen solar watch.

Just wanted to say thanks I just brought a lovely Diesel Gents watch for Fathers Day.

Aren't batteries only a few quid fitted? Two years not enough?

If u cant afford to buy a new battery for the watch after 2 years which will only cost you a few quids, then i'm sure u will never be able to buy a any watch at full price mate :whistling:

I've bought three of these for the wife for various birthdays/anniversairys etc. Two DKNYs and one Jus Cavalli (which was last week). Never had any trouble with them.

Haha :)

Yes, I;m so poor I can only afford watches that'll last less than two years, woes me

Or back to my original hint, a watch battery should last a lot bloody longer than 2 years!

PS I've bought plenty of proper watches at "full price" but after years of HUKDing I don't see why I should pay the typical price :)

Not unless you buy long life ones they won't. If you're buying these cheap watches off Amazon then you're not going to get anything special in the battery department.

The batteries are easily changed though.

CHEAP AS CHIPS I paid £55 for this about 6 months ago and thought that was a good deal!

Wow, there's a lot of very ugly watches out there nowadays... the only one I liked the look of still costs over £100, so I think I'll pass.

Amazingly, that's marketed as a "Gents" watch!

But a watch doesn't last as long as its battery, does it?

I buy new watch batteries online from http://www.battery-house.co.uk/ and replace them myself.

Note: if your car battery dies, don't throw the car away

I was dubious at the beginning, but it's blooming HUGE. We're talking near on 2" wide.

Much cheaper to buy a pack of 50 button battery (normally about 10 of 5 different types) for about £2.50 from ebay.

They work for just as long but cost peanuts
