New Super Mario Bros. U on the eShop costs £49.99 so that's the catch as to why they're giving away New Super Luigi U.

I'm gonna have to vote this cold coz really... this sucks as a deal and is typical of Nintendo :(
#3
Just looked on eshop and I already own NSMBU and Luigi U isn't free so assuming this is just new purchases
#4
Isn't nsmsb on offer on the eshop though

If you don't think this is a good deal, look at some of the prices on Amazon! Quite hard to find this too now.
#6
I wonder if you got NSMB from the Mario Kart promotion are you eligible for this offer?
#7
if you really want this game this is the cheapest way to get hold of it presently.
#8
Ditto, I already own New Super Mario Bros U and it's showing £17.99 for me too... annoying.

There is only Rock Candy Mines that is really good in NSMBU.

All of NSLU is a much better difficulty. (Wish the levels were normal length though).

£17.99 is the standard price for the Luigi DLC if you already own NSMB U.

There is no deal here unless you're stupid enough to buy NSMB U from the e-shop for £50 which is insanely overpriced given that NSMB U has been available for around £13-17 for months - even with the full cost of Luigi DLC on top, it is far cheaper than this "deal".

Is this only for new purchases? As it is showing as £17.99 for me.

ok my bad thought this was an option to buy the Luigi game on it's own which would be a deal, from what I've read this is better than the Mario game because the difficulty is aim at more experienced gamers. cold.

Yeah it's not very good but for people looking to own a copy of Super Luigi U this is the cheapest price available.

Nintendo's pretty outdated when it comes to pricing... £50 really? No wonder no one buys anything from the eShop unless it's been reduced to a low price or it's DLC.

If your looking to buy both games; in my opinion it's better to buy the 'dual game' physical version that originally came bundled with the console. They're readily available on eBay and many previous sales have been from £25+ pending condition etc.

Not a deal at all then for those who already own NSMB U. One would think Ninty would have been smart enough to also offer NSL U at a steep discount for those who already own NSMB U. Oh well, if Ninty can't get their act together with the eShop (still) then no matter because I'll simply spend my money elsewhere, e.g. Steam, PSN, etc.
