Mario Galaxy/Wii Fit/ Wii Sports/Wii Play/Nintendo Land
Problem is, in Japan they become really big fans of game series. Sales for a console shoot up over there when games in a popular series are released for a new console. Why do you think there are so many final fantasy/mario/pokemon games? So it is more profitable to make spinoffs than it is to risk coming up with a new franchise.
When it's Mario, thousands.
I prefer playing Super Mario 3, World, Kart, & Galaxy over any FPS ever made, simple pick up & play games yet contain real depth too for hwen you have spare hours to play them.
When you have a job & family you appreciate games you can play for 20 mins at a time then put down, & pause when the baby needs attention etc, which you generally cant do with most current gen games.

true because its for the Wii-U so its the wii-U version... so pretty much the closest thing you can get to that game on the Wii-U untill they release something later on.

What total garbage, Mario galaxy was completely new and different to Mario. Simply using the same mascot doesn't mean it is any bit different from anything else 'new.' The great thing about Mario is there isn't a formula, unlike Zelda which has this strict constraint on it.
However, these 'New' mario bros are pretty much a copy and paste job.
