Good price and a brilliant game heat added :)

brilliant game

Just a note for anyone looking to actually buy this - you can get it for half this price on Fleabay.

Not voting either way as I appreciate that this is the cheapest price at retail, but it is available (brand new) cheaper.

I feel I should point out that if you buy any 'cheap' DS games on eBay they are more than likely pirate copies of the game - many sellers just state that its an "import game" so "will only work on original DS and DS Lite, not DSi or DSi XL" which is complete rubbish as genuine DS games will work on any DSi/DSi XL console (Only exception to this rule are the handful of "DSi enhanced" or "DSi only" games released)

To help get a genuine DS game on eBay I recommend that you check the sellers are using a photo of the actual item - not a stock picture. Also check their feedback and read any negative comments to see if anyone else has had problems.

Excellent game at a good price. Has held its price amazingly well, considering it was released about 4 and half years ago,

I think that you will find that that is called piracy, and hence is illegal in the UK

but let's play make believe for a min(i.e. it's legal), there is a major flaw with kaiser statement seeing as putting it on a sd wouldn't allow you to play it on either the ds/dsl or dsi/dsi xl even if the dsi/dsi xl have a sd card slot. the sd slot is for dsiware which only works on the dsi/dsi xl it was originally downloaded on, so you can't share it with friends or even use it if you change dsi e.g. you oldone breaks and you get a new one or upgraded to an xl one from the 'small' one(many parent were caught out with this when they got the xl version for their kids for birthday/christmas etc).

Actually you mean a micro SD card inside an R4 cartridge. You'd have some trouble trying to fit just a micro SD card in a Nintendo DS seeing as it doesn't have a micro SD slot...

could you please make your mind up if you mean sd or micro sd) ;)

I'm sure most of the people understood what you ment but there are some who don't and would get confused, try to put the games on sd card(as per you initial post, no mentions of carts).pop it into the dsi's sd slot and try to play them and wonder why they can't.

again a flaw in your last(#11) post, you can't use a sd card in a cart as they only support micro sd/sdhc cards ;)

by 'the games you can't share' I ment the dsiware(not all are games, some games some not), unless things have changed recently you can save the dsiware(i.e. the ones on the dsi store, accessed through the dsi. similar to the wii store that you have on the wii) to sd/sdhc card and use them on a different dsi, can only use in the dsi you originally purchased and downloaded from(even the free ones for some reason). I wasn't talking about the ds/dsi games you buy in the shops.

try reading my post before saying I'm talking rubbish, and as you made no mention of using a 'cart' in your original post and also said sd not micro sd I was responding to that as(unless things have changed, which I doubt) you can't put games(or roms as they're known) onto a sd/sdhc card and run them on the dsi.

p.s. I did understand (and I'm sure many of the others) what you were trying to say, but as I said mentioned above there will likely be those that didn't. was just trying to save them some wasted time of trying what you said.

Quit the attitude and petty argument guys.

Kaiser was wrong to thinking it was easy as shoving a micro SD card (no slot) in a DS to play downloaded games and was in the wrong to compare this deal to that method. If there is a sale in a shop and I want a coat from there I can still get it cheaper (for free) by mugging someone who owns it. But I wouldn't as it is morally wrong let alone illegal.

Playing downloaded roms which is illegal. Even the use of an R4 card is illegal albeit a small minority use it for homebrew purposes. However, the manner in which you referred to implies you are using it to essentially steal games from game producers. Be a pirate all you want as most get away with but do not promote it and try to ridicule this legitimate deal with your nonsensical and illegal method of obtaining games.

Stop spamming up this thread and give the OP some credit for finding the best legitimate deal around.

2 things there:

1) just because the R4 was the most popular(maybe even the first) to offer such things doesn't mean it's the only one available, it's not even the best any more.

2) from what I've been reading, the owning and using of carts themselves is not illegal. selling them(in the uk at least) and playing roms(in the uk even roms for games you own are illegal from what i've read) on them is what's illegal.

When I refer to R4 card Im generalising. I know many other versions exists such as iEdge, etc.
Many people just say R4 cartridge as this is the most common known one. This was't my point though - I was talking about what you use them for.

Secondly, if you use an R4 (or any other model) then how did you obtain it? They were made illegal before the latest models was released so if they are illegal to sell then they it must be illegal to buy any models including the latest versions.
Kaiser stated "Download it for free off the net and lob it on a sd card" which is very much illegal.

What were you trying to say in your quote?

that's just the thing it's not illegal to buy, as far as I unstood from reading the article about nintendo getting r4 and the like made illegal to be sold in the UK. there's nothing stopping you importing them from countris where it's legal to sell them.

seeing as you didn't understand what I was saying, the point was simply owning/using one of these carts is not illegal(unless the ruling has changed since I read the article back in the summer). even tho vast majority are used for rom there are still people who simply use it for homebrew(which you did say in your post, tho you said using these carts is illegal).

anyway think we've de-railed this topic long enough :)

nice to see peterkay11 hasn't post.

True. Although 99% of them are used for illegal purposes.
