New Super Mario Bros. for the DS lets you play an updated version of the classic Super Mario Bros. world, with all-new moves taken from other hit Mario games. When Mario and Princess Peach are taking a walk, a bolt of lightning hits Mushroom Castle. Mario goes off to investigate, but he returns Bowser has kidnapped Peach! He'll track down Bowser on the classic, original Super Mario Bros. map with all the moves he's picked up in the other games. Throw turtle shells, butt-stomp to crack open floors -- even use the tanooki suit from Super Mario Bros. 3. Use the DS dual screen to see where you are on a map & play fun minigames. Also includes a two-player mode where Mario and Luigi race and compete for coins.

-EDIT - remember to check the voucher section to get AT LEAST £1 off this price. - emmajk42

Thanks scouse.paul! I spotted this in the CDWow newsletter last night, but when I clicked through to CDWow they still had it at £24.99, and you beat me to posting it this morning! Cheers  This is the best price on the web for this that I can see anyway.

I know www.movietyme.com are selling this also for £19.99 all in.....no discount vouchers though! :(

That's an American site biggerfella I believe, we usually don't list those here... I think the CDWow deal is the cheapest from a UK site.
#4
also if you have any of them £1 cd-wow vouchers left in your inbox from failed attempts with freebees you can use them in this offer

Ahhh ok emmajk42 well thats something I can say I have learnt today. Well I only heard about that site from the Game 24 hour deals thread on here last week. American or not it has some good deals on there that are worth a look to save some cash!

Cheers Dave.

Just a small question to anyone who's bought a DS game from them before. Do they send the PAL version of the game (in the big White boxes) or the US versions of the games (slim Black boxes)?

Sorry if it's a bit OT

You might find http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk useful :) As it lists other region DVDs from USA and Canada mainly, but

does it really matter the DS is region free as far as I am aware. Game Boy games are definatly regardless of the version of the Game Boy. PSP games are also region free though the UMD Videos aren't.

worth knowing this stuff.

That's a very good question; I'm afraid I don't have the answer to it though. I suggest that you send them an email - it will also allow you to gauge how responsive their customer service is.

Sadly, it does matter. All my DS games are either US and/or Japanese with the slimmer black cases. A few European boxes on the shelves look ugly and stick out like a sore thumb. Call me what you will

BTW, I already knew they were region free, but thanks anyway :)

Thanks. Why didn't I think of that.....

Most of the games from CDWOW are NTSC DS games. Out of 8 games I bought from them, only 1 (Brain Training) is PAL. I managed to get Super Mario Bros for £15.99 using the British gas voucher and a £2 off games link (all are on this site). I've managed to buy all my games from cd wow using these - £14 for Big Brain Academy and £13 Brain Training. £16 for Fifa World cup..... CD wow using these vouchers definitely seems to be the cheapest around @ the moment.

as you know all DS games are region free then why does it matter what kind of case it comes in, it will still play the same (bar the language choices).

emmajk42 since WHEN was cdwow a UK site?
Cdwow is based in HONG KONG, the ironic thing about your post is although movietyme sell all usa products they are based in the UK and they act as your personal importation service!

I am a long time serving hotukdeals member and it's news to me that usa sites are frowned upon here!

At the end of the day the price biggerfella linked to at movietyme of £19.99 has been at their price point for months, all he was doing was pointing out more DS games are available at this price!

That's so cool! I no longer feel quite as geeky knowing there are people like you on the gaming scene :)

The Tetris DS I ordered was a US edition in the slim/black. Also, EU stock tends to cost more at trade price than CDwow sell at to the consumer so i'd be 99% certain that you'd get the black case to match the rest of your collection.

Now then, will people drop the irrelevent NTSC/PAL references!

Play.com currently have it for £17.99 delivered in their sale

That's super mario 64, a different game altogether I believe, but still a good price for that one! Thanks RSteve, and welcome to the forum!

EDIT - (And that one is available for £15.49 at the hut.com!)

Right, bought the game, now where can I get a DS lite for a good price? :)

Thanks for the link Souse.Paul, I had an unused e-voucher saved with CDWOW which brought the price to £18.99, I used my Egg Card to get 10% cashback (normally you can't use vouchers in conjunction with the Egg Card link) so I'll see what I get it for, hopefully £17.26

If you want a bundle deal, Toys R Us is probably the best offer currently - DS Lite, Super Mario DS, any other £29.99 game, and a starter pack for £129.99

Pity this only seems to be the White version, unless there is something I am missing?

Thankyou. Brain Trianing was what confused me, as it had both the PAL and US versions of the game. Good to know they sell US games.
