Not the bargain of the year but I have been waiting for this to be stocked officially to replace my 2GB Clip.

It's expandable by microSD and is available in 2 (£34.99) and 4 (£44.99) GB variants. The previous Clip was great, easy to use and handy to clip to your T Shirt.

* Up to 2000 songs
* Battery Life - Up to 15 hours

If they've used the same radio as the non-expandable one then its crap.

That's the only bad thing about it though.

Cnet review here for the Sansa Clip+ but 4gb version : http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/sandisk-sansa-clip-4gb/4505-6490_7-33770002.html

paying extra for something so similar to normal sansa clip doesnt seem worth it for me. however, i am looking for a new mp3 player that can organise my music tracks well and this seems the best bargain at the moment.

will get (clip 1 is best mp3 player i've ever owned) but waiting for price to come down to £40.. just getting rid of bright ring is enough for me, that made it painful to use in the dark.

Looks good ordered and heat added

A very good heads up anthony401

Here's a nice anythingbutipod review.

With the very low cost of microSD cards, it surely makes most sense to buy the 2GB model for £15 less than the 8GB.
You can then stick in an 8GB microSD card ( for about £10) and effectively get a 10GB model for less than the 8GB costs.

You're more limited on total capacity though, as I have an 8GB Clip at the moment I'd be looking at this one for more capacity.

Jonsend is right, radio is mediocre at best. I changed headphones to some Koss ones and it got worse.

You can't organise your music microSD cards like it automatically does on the onboard memory. It's the same with my Sansa Fuse 8GB (with expandable memory).

I got my Fuse for the same price on Play.com with an additional 4GB microSD card, but I would still vote the Clip hot at this price.

Very much tempted by this.

For anyone who's interested, you should be able to sync this with iTunes using http://ita.sourceforge.net/

I love my iPod Touch but careering around on a bike with the risk of crashing and breaking it doesn't sit well :)

whats the battery life like on this?
i know it says 'up to 15 hours', but what is it really like?

The music on the microSD organises exactly the same as the onboard memory ( its all in the same lists e.g artists, albums etc). I have the Fuze too, with an 8GB microSD. The music on the microSd is in the same lists as the onboard memory.
This is the big plus with these Sansa players..

Simes,

Beat me to it. That's the reason I was holding out for this one!
#17
worthwhile pointing out that the predecessor doesn't have gapless playback so check on the specs of this one if it's important to you (for mixed CDs etc)
#18
Yeah whats the most likely battery life like on it?

Just found from a link from a post on the anythingbutipod site, the Clip+ does support gapless playback!
