Topcashback are doing another deal for new Sky customers.
This time it's 25% off a bundle for the year plus £75 credit.
Also upto £176.75 cashback (most expensive package)

So for the original bundle normally costing £21.50/mo you would get it for:-

£16.13*12=£193.56 plus £25 activation fee = £218.56
minus
£75 credit
£126.25 cashback

Equals £17.31 for the first year or £1.44/mo

Plus.... You can convert upto £50 cashback per year into tesco clubcard vouchers so thats another potential moneysaver!

Hope this helps someone.

This sounds like a no brainier, now only need to cancel current service and wait a year before being classed as a new customer.

Not too happy with my last topcashback / sky deal not tracking. missing cashback claim raised......awaiting result.... :-(
#3
All fine and dandy... but I didn't take the risk this year. TCB also claims new customers only. Just went back to sky who offered me 50% off, and £50 account credit. Works out we're paying less than a tenner a month for the variety pack. Would have been £6-7 had we got TCB... assuming it tracked and paid. Not worth it.

Gutted I live in a flat as none of the sky cash back deals apply to blocks of flats. Good deal for those who can get it though.

I rotate between sky and virgin. Only way to get a decent price. no loyalty for customers who stick with one provider.

Just cancelled my sky sub last week. If my wife was to sign up as a new customer but at the same address would this work?

When we moved to sky last Dec I got £132 cashback (which paid after about 4 months) and £100 credit on the bill. It's now costing me circa £55 a month 'coz we've changed the package a bit but I plan to cancel this Dec and go back to Virgin if Sky dont offer me anything worth staying for.

Its annoying these providers dont reward loyalty and instead rely on the majority of idiotic customers being too lazy to demand a better deal.

after cancelling my sky i received 4 calls with 4 different offers 40£ apart.problem being that offer only valid when you take it on the call.no time to search.nothing close tp what they offered me to switch from virgin last year.so bye bye sky
#13
Just cancel sky. After they cut u off, log back into ur account online and a 50% offer will be there for you for another year.

Cancelled my Sky last week, waiting for a call from them in the next few weeks, if no call, then I think I will just go to virgin

just give them a call if you ahve been cut off.... my lass got sports, movies, phoneline, bb for £48/month with £50 credit on the day she got disc.... he tv was back on in 4 hrs...
#17
Yeah, definitely works of you live in a block of flats. I got my tbc within 3 months.
#18
the terms and conditions state you dont get it in a block of flats and tcb and sky have both stated as such so i dont know how anyone got it if they live in a flat. mine has tracked as 0.00 and ive had terrible problems trying to get answers from both sides as to why it is not allowed. did they actually know you lived in flats? how long ago was it?

My mum has sky hd with all the channels. So I ordered sky multiscreen and took it round to my flat. I have every channel for £11.25 a month

And you are paying £55 a month to watch tv, and you mention the word idiotic?. Get a freeview/freesat box and save paying as you say an idiotic £55 a month

To watch TV, use the internet and make/receive as many calls as I need to.

You're supposed to have the box plugged into the same phone line (check the contract terms for multi room). If you search around the web you will see that people have been sent a letter stating the box isn't plugged in and if it isn't plugged in the next time they try and check they will charge the full bundle price for the second box (which they do in the end).

Your only alternative in that case will be to take the box back to your mums and plug the box into her phone line and leave it there. Best case scenario will be she can make use of MultiRoom. Worst case, you will have wasted the remaining subs (its a 12 month contract) with a Multiroom box at her house that no one uses.

really? we've had it for a few years and never had a letter. we have 3 boxes on the account and non plugged in. it could be that we didnt by the boxes off sky, we just got the cards and then bought the sky+ hd boxes off ebay and paired them ourselves.

Yes really :( just search for "sky multi room no phone line" or something along those lines, a few threads should come up. I believe for new installs they also accept both boxes being connected to same broadband. But I have seen people mention like you they havent had a problem, I can only imagine they make some error in provisioning which means the check doesn't get run or something. Once you're out of contract its not biggy if you get caught out, as you can just cancel. The bigger problem is for those that get caught early on in the 12 month contract and then have no use for the second box in the contract holders home. Seen a few people moaning about it in the past.

I've had multiple emails back and for to Sky and TCB and you definitely do not get this cashback if you live in a flat where the communal aerial is maintained by the landlord.
