isnt this just absolutely incredible?!?!...just ordered

I think they removed too much for the "no monitor" so dont hang around on these 2 base unit deals I posted as I think they may increase in price well before the 27th!
#3
cant go wrong for that.

whats the x1300 like, anyone to explain?

haven't much knowledge of cards since i bought my x800gto2
#4
since my order for last weeks inspron 530 is pre-production will dell allow me to cancel and go for this instead- the way i see it- i can get an increase in processor 1.8 to 1.86 and supply my own tft and still be £50 better off?
#5
i think these are small business pcs, so maybe issues with returns etc maybe?

ANY pc or laptop sold on the Dell home site is covered by the DSR so your quite safe to order from there and keep your full consumer rights.
#8
Nice price shame you can't upgrade the graphics card.

It's a modern entry level card. I'd place it below your X800GTO.
#10
Awesome spec for the price - only downer for me is that there's no Windows Vista Home Premium Option.
#11
thanks , a great deal
would they fit a 7600gt?
or do these only take half height cards?

Buy the other Vostro deal with no graphics card and fit your own better card ;-)
#13
Dell will be getting a little annoyed with me, cancelled the athlon deal with no monitor you posted on the 28th, to order the core 2 duo one the same day. They still have not built it so cancelled that today and ordered this.

I have a feeling I'll never get one, I'll just keep cancelling orders as new ones come up.

But you lose the processor cache on that one too.

No option to add Firewire slot for video editing?
#16
Can't you get it with XP on instead of Vista?

I would always recommend buying with Vista so you have the licience for later on when you do want to run it, get XP from elseware cheaper and load it for now having made a backup image of the drive so when you feel the need you can revert to Vista.

It seems there is no XP option as yet for the Vostro
#21
Looks like they've cottoned on....you can't remove the monitor anymore!
#22
Error now fixed on Dell site, just managed to order one in time, thanks MikeT
#23
I think its expired now!
No option to remove monitor!

#29

DEPOSIT WEB LOAN SPREAD YOU PAYMENTS OVER 36 OR 48 MONTHS

How long did it take you to get the pdf?
#38
Ive had an email stating Dell Order Acknowledgement.

Only thing is because I got it on credit, it says:

Payment Method: Dell Financial Services
Dell Financial Services are reviewing your application and will contact you within 48 hours.

I guess if they really want to they could stop me on that one

It can take from 30 minutes to over an hour (from my experience) and until that time none of us can be sure we've actually got it.
