  If you live in a flat, be aware that you need a hob with a flame failure device (which cuts off gas if flame goes out). This hob does NOT have one so cannot be installed in a flat.
  
  B&Q has recently been selling a New World oven/gas hob pack for £199.99 which was then reduced by 15%. The hob in this pack does have FFD. There was also electric hob version at same price. I'm not sure of current stock/price position but you MIGHT get it this weekend with a further 15% off (i.e. potentially £144.49). My elderly mother had the oven/gas hob installed in her refurbed kitchen recently and is very pleased with the appliances.

  Cracking price, I picked up 2 of these a month or two ago in Telford for £179, thought they would all be gone now! Probably the last dregs of an end of line but Tesco is a good place for this type of bargain if you keep your eyes peeled, I'm off to pick up a Bosch SGS45C02GB dishwasher that I paid £169 for earlier :thumbsup:

  I rang Tesco Extra stores with no joy and then phoned customer services with the details to find my nearest store with it in stock. This is a freefone number 0800 505555 where I was told these type of products are not stocked in store at all. I mentioned a friend has bought one in store in solihull a matter of days ago as it looked doubtful whether the CSA would check otherwise.
  
  He rang Solihull (allegedly) and then got back to me reiterating his opriginal point and was adamant that Solihull had never stocked either of the items.
  
  I'm gutted as my oven broke over the weekend has no grill & the hob & oven were already here when I moved in the house and are really grotty. I left my new hotpoint freestanding one for the person I swapped homes with, so I wanted both.
  
  Any feedback welcome.

  All I can say is that it was in Solihull (saw it with my own eyes). It may have been a one off though it wasn't marked as such. Last time I was in there (about a week ago) it was still there but the price ticket had gone so maybe it had been sold. Can't help further I'm afraid but clearly the advice you got from CS was not accurate.

  I wasn't doubting you at all matey, or casting aspersions on your eyeball capacaity ;-) I was just gutted to have the guy on the end of the phone be so resolutely arrogant about it, espesh when I really need a new oven and hob in that colour. Tesco at Borehamwood even told me they used to do them but had streamlined their stock and only did a couple of freestanding ones now. So twit at CS was wrong.
  
  If you or anyone does hear of a similar deal give us a PM if you wouldn't mind.
