#8

#9
So they take £177 (With Delivery) out of your account and get £10 in quidco? TBH im stuck between Asda's deal of £185 with a decent game as i can just walk in and get it but i have had all of those games like Alan wake and splinter cell. You could sell the game for £15ish making the Asda deal £170 ish
#10
hey why is this not hot? i wanted to order this? as cant seem to find a cheaper price anywhere else. wat do you reckon?
#11

has anyone had their quidco track and the total including quidco at £160.20? i'm sure it's £160.20 + £7.49 delivery.
#15
£177.48 - £6.51 Quidco Cashback Tracked = £170.97 Total.

Rather go to Asda and pay the bit extra with a game as there's a physical store to take it back to when it breaks without the aggro of Microsoft repair and I'm sure Asda would replace it if there's a problem instead of waiting 10days for a second hand unit to come back in its place. So for that reason I'm voting it cold as I've experienced this before and when things go wrong its like banging your head up a brick wall also remember that these will fall in price in a couple of months and you will then know how reliable they are, I'm keeping my elite for the next couple of months till ixtreme is sorted for this as its only the same console in a new suit to drag that little bit more money out of old hardware.

Oooooh, imagine if you pay £170 and open it up and it's an Xbox! Even if it's a 'New XBox' ;)
#21
@polly69 i it breaks after 28 days it goes to MS anyway :( however I have found there service to be very good on the three times my mk1 xbox has been in for repair (free ups collection and back within 10 days )

i want one:(

But it's an extra £28 for the slim with a game, quite a bit extra to pay.

This has been on the Quidco website for a couple of weeks so must work ok.
#27
my quidco has not tracked yet. I ordered yesterday.
#28
Ordered yesterday & has shipped today!

As stated before though total 4.5% Cashback is only £6.51, making the total price £170.97 (£177.48 - £6.51). Quidco don't mention the £7.49 delivery and in the details for their offer have calculated the 4.5% Cashback on the £199.99 selling price.

Cashback is actually rather cheekily calculated on the cost of the console without VAT (£144.67), which comes to £6.51. This is confirmed in the Quidco purchase tracking e-mail which lists the purchase amount as £144.67.

Still cheaper than anywhere else at the moment though, and not going to grumble over a few quid.

Quidco need to sort their maths though :)

I posted this days ago. Last Thursday (11th) I think but it was taken down as Quidco deals don't count or something.

forgive my ingorance (I am looking out for one of these for my son) but whats to stop anyone just installing friends/love film games, etc on the hard drive without buying the games?

You still need the disc to play the game, as it reads a part of it when booting up, it also reads part of the disc at random times if online (unsure if offline but irrelevent really as you need the disc to begin with to boot it)

thanks, that sounds a bit of a pain because even if I do own all the games I still have to keep changing disc when playing a different game?
