Direct flights Heathrow to JFK with Kuwait airways.

Can't get a direct link - but just search for LON to NYC from the homepage.

Just booked this myself.
There are some deals at similar prices for departures before end of April. But for late May / early June, this is the cheapest I could find by at least £100.

I'm heading over there on the 22nd of may - are there any deals anywhere on God's green earth that will make this affordable? :?

Great price! Hot

Good post especially given the weak dollar right now. Ideal time to head to the states.

Great deal, but I don't know if I fancy flying with Kuwait Airways...

I've seen deals for around £230 with better airlines like Northwest.

Excellent, thanks!

I went to New York at the beginning of this month on one of the earlier deals through Delta.

To save on accommadation i rented an apartment for 4 nights which in total cost $500.00. It was a lovely place just like a home from home and much better than a hotel. The area was nice, 5 mins from the Statue of Liberty ferry and 5 mins from Ground Zero.

If anyone is looking for cheap but nice accom please pm and i will happily give you the detail of where i stayed.

Can I recommend the New York Pass to anybody who's flying out to NYC?
New York Pass

I went three weeks ago and came across this card while looking for things to do there. Bascially it gives you a load of attractions for free or reduced prices.

Empire State Buildings Observation Deck, and Sky Ride (A 3D moving ride inside the ESB) are two included attractions. It allowed us to skip most of the queue as well (20 mins instead of 2 hrs lol)!

You also get $10 a day to spend in Planet Hollywood on Times Square. On food or things in the shop, with no minimum spend.

Oh and if you haven't been before then budget for tips too (that really stung me).

And if you don't mind travelling 20 mins by PATH to get to Manhattan.. then the Doubletree Hotel in Jersey City was very good with massive rooms.

I cant get the prices, they appear but seem unavailable when you try to confirm the flights.

Does the New York City Pass entitle you to unlimited visits/entries into one attraction? Or does it entitle one entry?

i.e. would you be able to go up the Empire State during the day and at night with it?

all the best buddy... kuwait airlines having a laugh (just google them you'll see what I mean)

Not an answer to your question, but for the best view of NYC visit Top of the Rock observation deck....and skip the hustle of the Empire. Amazing.

Most people in the know visit sometime around dusk so they can take in both light and dark.

Soz for wading in with opinion...but hope it helps!

i have flown with Kuwait to new york a couple of times... i too was worried before hand. but its the best airline i have been on.
#24
Be aware that this is a dry airline (ie no alcohol sold on board) - this certainly was the case when I flew with them around 1995. Eeek...just realised how long ago it was. I got it for £180 back then, so that really is a good price!

I am vegetarian and I really enjoyed my in flight meal, which is quite rare!

Personally I'd avoid using Travelocity like the plague. If you need help with anything, you'll need to be prepared to put in a lot of time and patience to get anything out of them...

I bought a 7 day NY pass, cost £70

comes with the best little guide book/map

i think i visted 90% of things in the book, nbc tour, empire state, bronx zoo, aquarium, radio city music hall, msg etc etc etc got amazing value for £10 a day!!!

if 2 people get one you both get the discount at planet hollywood too, a meal for 2 with drinks came to a mighty £15!!!

you also get free gifts at Bloomingdales and Century 21 etc

if you go for a week a 7 day subway pass costs only $24, beats the cr*p out of London underground prices!!!
