Why aye man. Hot deal

Think I might have to make a trip....

Presumably these are about 500ml bottles? Tesco have some for £1 but only 330ml bottles...

Edit: had a look online, 500ml

Tyne Water and Nun's Delight yum yum.

Ah, thanks.

I placed an order on Friday for delivery tomorrow. These prices were not on the system then but are there now. Time to alter my choice of ales as the Old Thumper I ordered is not on the promo.
#11
Get it now before it becomes Tadcaster Brown Ale, in form anyway not in name - the brand name is worth far too much to change.

Good price for this but personally I can't stand the stuff. Maybe brewing it alongside John Smith's will improve it :-D

Voted hot.

picked up 8 different bottles today to try, truth be told i would have tried the lot but quite a few in the farnborough store are gone.

old speckled hen never seems to be there regardless of deal, is it bad stocking or is it that good?
#15
just bought 48 with some friends (16 each) although most we bought were 3 for £4 which I think they have on all the time anyway?

there was only 3 or 4 for £1 a bottle, but they did have speckled hen

Good old Asda! Keeping the £1 a bottle deals running! Not my favourite beers, but £1 for a bottle of fire water is not to be sniffed at...

According to mySupermarket Old Peculiar and Speckled Hen are on offer too...

Also a special Marstons 4-pack is 2 packs for £9

ensure the Asda tab is selected at the top of the page

And a Wychwood special too

Yep, love the Hobgoblin.

I like the 330ml Guiness foreign extra that is also reduced to £1, not only because it tastes yummy but I reckon it's 7.5% alcohol volume means it's like drinking a 500ml can/bottle of 5% alcohol volume beer in terms of drunkness. I need to cut down on the calorie intake after the Christmas period pie munching spate I went on.

Ah, the logic of an aspiring alcoholic! My advice then is to make sure you drink the Guiness at the same rate as the 5% stuff.

Drinking Guiness won't help the diet I'm afraid. Good spot though!
#22
The guiness foreign extra is tasty enough for me to give up on my new years resolution of shifting the Christmas weight. I just noticed that the calorie intake for the stuff is a bit higher than most other beers. When I buy these usually I get three or four of them depending what offer they're on. I like them super cold and three or four 330ml bottles is more than enough for me to get merry on. I fail at alcoholism...

Unless marko's talking about the Guiness, in which case I assume Dublin?

just in time - amended my order to include 13 various bottles.

I got some there on Friday, looks like you have to get in quick. I don't think they get much stock in as whenever I go there a lot of the shelves are empty. I'm sure that some of the beers in this post weren't there when I went in, so maybe they change the deal when they run out.

I can't believe this deal isn't a great deal hotter, especially as it's still going strong. I picked up 4 bottles each of Speckled Hen, Theakston's Old Peculiar, Well's Bombadier and Bishop's Finger, as well as a few odd bottles of other ales, all for £1 each last night. Asda also have Brakspear Triple at 3 for £4 which is a great price for a great tasting ale with a massive 7.6% punch. Mind you, there won't be many left after the rugby tomorrow - especially when Wales win! :p
